The Job: As an Engineering Technician, you'll be part of our Valley City, Ohio team working as an onsite employee. You'll get to: Create and modify test fixtures Collect, analyze, and document test data Work directly with Engineering to resolve any open issues by recommending possible solutions Evaluate products for possible hazards not addressed by current standards and assist in developing new test procedures Maintain testing equipment and perform general lab duties Carry out multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and providing updates as requested Learn new technologies and skills in programming, electronics, and mechanics Provide quality product repair and services, including operating, maintaining, and repairing outdoor power equipment and small engines Follow engineering drawings to make repairs and update parts, including following torque specifications and installation instructions Assist in the setup and completion of cost reduction projects, including wiring new test stands and troubleshooting existing test fixtures Configure and run high-speed data acquisition systems, collect test data, and report results to the engineering staff Work with fellow technicians to develop solutions for improvements The Person: You love to learn and grow and be acknowledged for your valuable contributions. You also have: HS diploma or equivalent; or experience in the outdoor field Minimum two to five years' experience with outdoor power equipment Outdoor power equipment and experience in a prototype testing environment (a plus) Experience with Microsoft Office products Excellent project and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Basic mechanical knowledge and abilities, including knowledge of hand and power tools.
