In the role of Geologist I, we'll count on you to: * Help design and conduct field studies and be responsible for data collection, compilation, and analysis for a variety of geology and/or hydrology-related projects. * Complete geologic logging of borings and monitoring well development followed by conversion to electronic boring logs and well construction diagrams. * Complete surface and groundwater sampling including coordination with laboratories, data analysis, and reporting. * Coordinate compliance sampling for federal, municipal, power, water/wastewater, and industrial clients. * Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic testing and analysis. * Assist with troubleshooting issues that may arise in the field. * Communicate issues in a timely manner to team members and supervisor. * Work both independently on small projects and as part of larger project teams to assist senior personnel. * Perform other related duties as necessary. Preferred Qualifications: * Minimum of 1 year of professional experience as a hydrogeologist, geologist or closely aligned profession. Advanced degrees (Master's or Ph.D.) in one of the above fields will substitute for one year of the required experience. * Demonstrated experience with geologic logging of borings, monitoring well installations, and soil, surface water and groundwater sampling. * Experience supporting remedial investigations, feasibility studies, and design activities. * Strong technical writing skills. * Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team. * Ability and willingness to travel.
