Your Capabilities and Credentials - Able to support multiple Project Managers across various projects simultaneously. - Possesses a general understanding of accessibility codes, life-safety codes, building construction systems, methods, materials, and industry standards. - Comfortable working independently and taking direction, while proactively taking appropriate actions without constant supervision. This role will lead field inspection teams and oversee structural condition assessments for canal structures, bridges, water control and containment structures, and related waterfront infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring a balance of hands-on inspection experience, technical expertise, and leadership skills to guide junior engineers and ensure high-quality deliverables for our state and private sector clients. Responsibilities: Lead and perform bridge, canal, and water control structure inspections in accordance with NYSCC, NYSDOT, and/or ASCE standards. Plan and coordinate inspection logistics, safety, and field operations. Prepare, review, and finalize detailed technical reports and inspection documentation. Perform quality reviews and ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements. Coordinate with clients, project managers, and internal teams to deliver projects efficiently. Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and other emerging technologies applicable to engineering inspection and reporting. Provide mentorship and guidance to assistant team leaders, junior engeering inspection staff, and other specialty inspection staff (dive technicians, ROV/UAV operators, surveyors, etc.).
