Duties, Responsibilities & Other
KCI is seeking a Canals/Bridge Inspection Team Lead to join our growing Transportation Structures group in New York state. This role will lead field inspection teams and oversee structural condition assessments for canal structures, bridges, water control and containment structures, and related waterfront infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring a balance of hands-on inspection experience, technical expertise, and leadership skills to guide junior engineers and ensure high-quality deliverables for our state and private sector clients.
Responsibilities:
Lead and perform bridge, canal, and water control structure inspections in accordance with NYSCC, NYSDOT, and/or ASCE standards.
Plan and coordinate inspection logistics, safety, and field operations.
Prepare, review, and finalize detailed technical reports and inspection documentation.
Perform quality reviews and ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements.
Coordinate with clients, project managers, and internal teams to deliver projects efficiently.
Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and other emerging technologies applicable to engineering inspection and reporting.
Provide mentorship and guidance to assistant team leaders, junior engeering inspection staff, and other specialty inspection staff (dive technicians, ROV/UAV operators, surveyors, etc.).
Travel to project sites approximately 4-8 non-consecutive weeks per year.
Position Requirements
Active P.E. License in New York, or the ability to attain license within 3 months.

Strong organizational, technical writing, and quality control skills.

AECOM is currently seeking a Superintendent to work on K-12 and Higher Education Facilities throughout Long Island, New York. This role is not remote and requires on site presence. Fire protection systems detect, control and reduce fire and smoke in buildings and structures. Your Key Responsibilities
* Apply concepts of fire protection engineering through investigation and analysis to support engineering projects that may include design of fire suppression systems (sprinklers and standpipes, water supply, special hazard extinguishing systems), fire detection and alarm systems, and smoke control systems, selection of fire-resistant materials and assemblies, and development of egress strategies.
* Perform calculations to analyze and design engineering system components using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software.
* Gather information to support design decisions.
* Prepare engineering designs, drawings, specifications, presentations and reports with guidance from senior engineers.
* Verify compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards and practices.
* Work with other architecture and engineering design professionals in the coordination and delivery of projects under the direction of a senior engineer.

Your Capabilities and Credentials
* Knowledge of, and experience interpreting and applying, building and fire codes and NFPA standards.

KCI Technologies is seeking a Facades Engineering Project Manager to join our growing building envelope and structures team. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys managing technically complex facade systems, collaborating across disciplines, and serving as a trusted partner to clients from concept through construction.
As a Project Manager, you'll be responsible for the successful delivery of facade engineering projects, balancing technical rigor with clear communication and strong project controls.
Manage facade engineering projects from concept design through construction administration
Coordinate and oversee the design and analysis of facade systems, including curtain wall, window wall, cladding, glazing, waterproofing, and enclosure assemblies
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, contractors, and internal project teams
Lead project planning, including scope development, schedules, budgets, and resource coordination
Review shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and field observations to support constructability and performance requirements
Collaborate closely with architects, structural engineers, and building science professionals to resolve design and field issues
Support construction administration activities, including site visits, issue resolution, and reporting
Mentor and support junior engineers and designers as part of project teams
Contribute to proposals, fee development, and business development efforts as needed
Specialized Experience:
