Stantec's Cultural Resources team has an opportunity for on-call archaeological field technicians to support field projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic. Stantec is seeking Archaeological Field Technicians to assist with upcoming fieldwork that will occur primarily in New York and Pennsylvania. #StayInquisitive
Your Key Responsibilities
- The position will primarily consist of fieldwork but may include exposure to a wider range of other duties including laboratory research and analysis. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: perform archaeological fieldwork tasks including controlled surface survey; shovel test survey; and excavation. Duties may also include cleaning, cataloging, photographing, and labeling artifacts recovered from surface collection and excavation.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Experience with completing inventory, survey, testing, and/or data recovery
- Previous experience with mapping equipment and other special application equipment (e.g., total station, GPS, etc.)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel
- Detail oriented; resourceful; self-motivated; strong initiative

Education and Experience

- Knowledge of prehistoric and historic material culture
- Ability to complete physically demanding tasks in remote areas and/or humid continental climate, including walking, hiking, carrying loads up to 50 pounds, and digging
- Qualified applicants should exhibit strong technical skills, good communication skills, and feel comfortable making decisions in the field
- Must have a valid driver's license and be able to operate motorized vehicles

AECOM's Water Business Line is seeking a talented and experienced
Senior Civil Design and Project Manager
to lead our growing Civil Design Practice, with a home base in Buffalo, NY, Rochester, NY or Syracuse, NY. It is expected that this role will provide support to projects throughout the Northeast US. This is a hybrid position.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in municipal water, wastewater, and/or stormwater design, analysis, inspection and management in dense urban settings. The preferred candidate will have a proven ability to lead a team of engineers and designers to deliver successful projects. General technical background in condition assessment and implementing management solutions for pressurized water systems is also desired.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Civil or Environmental engineering, or other related field required, and 6 years of relevant experience.
Professional Engineer in the state of NY, or ability to obtain PE licensure within 1 year of employment.
Demonstrated experience developing engineering deliverables such as engineering reports, design drawings, technical specifications, and other detailed engineering deliverables.
Proven and demonstrated experience working on stormwater, water, wastewater, or flood protection/resilience projects.
Valid U.S. Driver's License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records Review.
Preferred Qualifications:
12+ years of extensive project experience in municipal water, wastewater and/or stormwater design, analysis, installation, inspection, and management in design within dense urban settings
Excellent communication skills and the ability to be client-facing.
Strong knowledge of water/wastewater/stormwater design codes, standards, and regulations
Pipeline condition assessment and rehabilitation experience
Experience with combined sewer overflow communities with planning, design and construction of combined sewer overflow infrastructure (Storage tanks/tunnels/sewer separation)
Coordination of projects with civil design and modeling teams
Strong communication skills in coordinating with clients, sub-consultants, regulatory agencies, and members of the public to accomplish assigned objectives.

As a Geospatial Analyst with Stantec you will provide technical support which includes mapping applications, spatial analysis, and map production; as well as project support for assigned projects. This is a full-time position working with our Northeast Region Environmental Services (ES) group.
Your Key Responsibilities
Compile, create and maintain spatial and non-spatial information for a variety of platforms primarily involving ESRI ArcGIS Software (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online (AGO)).
Work in Windows 11 Enterprise and using MS Office suite of applications (Teams, Outlook, Word, Access, Excel, SharePoint).
Produce custom thematic map products and carry out data analysis/summaries to support multidisciplinary project deliverables.
Prepare web maps, online dashboards, and manage data for field survey crews, using applications and platforms which include Survey 123, Field Maps, and ArcGIS Online.
Supporting geospatial field data collection efforts. Typical collected features include wetlands, waterways and rare, threatened, or endangered species occurrences or habitats.
Adhering to established cartographic standards and Quality Assurance / Quality Control processes.
Managing a wide variety of project-specific and reference geospatial data in accordance with defined data management standards.

Your Capabilities and Credentials
Educated knowledge and experience working with Esri ArcGIS software suite, primarily ArcPro and ArcGIS Online, as well as ArcGIS Experience Builder, ArcGIS Field Maps, ArcGIS Survey123 and ArcGIS for Desktop.
Experience building and using a GIS to solve problems, present results, and graphically report analytical data for multi-disciplinary teams.
Technical training and experience in GIS mapping, geospatial analysis, and geographic principles (e.g., map projections and coordinate systems).
Demonstrates a knowledge of cartography and at least some understanding of graphic design.

Proactively identify opportunities to increase project efficiencies, improve technical methodologies and add value to client service offerings.
Mentor junior and mid-level staff. Certify staff experience for Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) exam.
