- Directly support archaeological field directors and project managers by assisting with pre-field planning, cultural surveys, and monitoring

Your Credentials and Capabilities

HDR is seeking a West Region Alternative Delivery Lead within the Power Sector, Power Delivery Practice to be part of our national Alternative Delivery (AD) Leadership Team. Within HDR, AD consists of collaborative delivery models such as Design-Build (DB) / Engineer-Procure-Construct (EPC), Progressive Design-Build (PDB), Construction Manager-General Contractor (CMGC) / Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR), and/or Integrated Project Delivery (IPD). This position will be involved with all aspects of our power delivery AD program. The successful candidate will drive collaboration between HDR's global power delivery staff and our construction teaming partners, focusing on mitigating the inherent engineering risks associated with AD projects. The primary duties of this position include planning, pursuing, managing, and delivering all aspects of power delivery AD projects within the electric transmission, substation, distribution, and renewables (medium/high voltage) markets.
Primary responsibilities include:
* In collaboration with Power Sector AD Director, provide overall leadership and responsibility for elevating the power delivery AD program within HDR's West Region, which includes Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico and Hawaii.
* Partner with business development, operations and technical leadership to develop new opportunities, markets and staffing plans.
* In coordination with AD Director, operations and legal counsel, drive teaming agreement negotiations with potential construction partners that align with HDR's business goals and initiatives.
* Lead and drive development of a power delivery front-end engineering and design (FEED) team that evaluates and mitigates technical risk of AD opportunities prior to and during the Go/No-Go evaluation. The FEED team may include discipline specific practitioners such as substation physical, substation electrical, transmission structural/foundation, distribution and/or site civil individuals.
* In collaboration with technical teams, review AD project intel, opportunities and RFPs to estimate technical investments prior to the Go/No-Go discussion.
* Assist in Go/No-Go discussions, project risk assessments, SOQs, proposals, interviews, and negotiations as required.
* While working with pursuit teams, drive development of scope, schedule, and budget, with a focus on activities and risks unique to AD projects (e.g. procurement support, construction support, critical path scheduling, etc.).
* Provide AD best practice guidance to pursuit and project delivery teams.
* Collaborate with HDR regional and area operations leaders, market sector leaders, practice leaders, project managers, commercial managers, and project teams to deliver world-class quality in engineering, environmental, real estate, geospatial and construction support services for power delivery AD projects.
* Drive development of AD project teams, including AD project managers, technical leaders, project controls and commercial managers. Specific skillsets will be identified in coordination with the AD leadership team.
* Actively serve as a senior advisor during AD project execution. Provide project delivery support including contract administration and management.
* Serve as the Project Manager or Engineering Manager on select power delivery projects, including both AD and traditional design-bid-build delivery.
* Provide oversight of a production section including project delivery, staffing, recruiting, quality, utilization, workload forecasting, work-sharing, safety and morale.
* Mentor and develop other employees.
* Perform other duties as needed.
* Report to Power Sector Alternative Delivery Director.
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil and/or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or similar combination of relevant education and experience.
* Minimum 15 years of power delivery experience.
* Minimum 5 years building and/or managing engineering teams on EPC projects.

AECOM is seeking an experienced On-site Project Controls Lead to support projects with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). This is an onsite, full-time position working 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
* May supervise a Project Controls team in effort to maintain schedules, cost controls, forecasting and Change management in all level reporting.
* Coach, monitor, and assist project controls team for various project assignments.
* Review outstanding tasks with team members and update priority list and/or projects and/or clients with any changes.
* Assist Project Management Team with project setup and execution.

* Verify integrity of Earned Value Management System.
* Attend team meetings to help in resolving issues, review progress reports and ensure assignment of new tasks.
* Monitor Key Performance Indicators, such as earned value, cost, and schedule performance, estimate to completion, and project end dates.
* Reviews purchase order and subcontract commitments and expenditures. Maintains tracking database to ensure that subcontractor funding is aligned with work authorization and expenditures.
* Read and understand client contracts and subcontracts, particularly related to scope, schedule, budget, and risk. Coordinate with project management team to ensure all procedures are in place to meet contractual requirements.

Primary Responsibilities
HDR Engineering is currently seeking a Substation EIT/ Substation Designer to join our growing and nationally ranked team of Power Delivery professionals. The successful candidate will be an integral part of a team that executes technical design on substation engineering projects ranging in scale from simple device replacements to large greenfield design projects. This is an excellent growth opportunity for a self-directed individual who is eager to learn and take on new challenges. The primary duties of a Substation EIT include preparation of engineering drawings, calculations, analyses, reports and designs for electrical substations (Low, Medium and High Voltage) and substation systems under the direction and supervision of more senior engineers and designers. The successful/ideal candidate will be seeking knowledge and experience in both the Protection and Control (Indoor) and Physical (Outdoor) aspects of High Voltage (HV) Substation design.
Other responsibilities include:
* Work under the direction of the Project Manager(s) and Project Engineer(s).
* Prepare calculations, design sketches and redline drawings.
* Work with Designers and CAD Technicians to develop drawings in accordance with national design standards, safety codes and project specifications and requirements.
* Typical designs include one-line diagrams, protection and control schematic development, wiring diagrams, SCADA, communications, substation physical layouts, material lists, conduit and cable sizing/routing, AC and DC systems calculations and sizing, and substation grounding.
* Occasional short-term travel (typically 1-5 days) may be necessary. Longer term (several weeks) assignments may be required infrequently on project assignments.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Candidates without their EIT will be called a Substation Designer and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression

Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Geologist/Environmental Scientist in our Billings, Montana office to assist with a variety of tasks on projects including data management, site investigation, and remediation.
The successful candidate will assist with gathering and analyzing geological, hydrogeological, and geochemical data in both the field and office settings.
This position is expected to begin in January 2026.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
* The field activities will consist of soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, air and soil vapor sample collection, geological logging and interpretation, and the oversight of subcontractors including laboratories and excavation and drilling companies.
* Field work will be required, and it will include travel that requires overnight stays near project locations.

Qualifications:
* B.S. in ABET accredited Engineering program with 3-8 years of relevant experience.
* Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE).

* Strong understanding of applicable engineering standards (ASME B31.4 & B31.3), industry standards (API) and regulations (CFR 195).

* Completion of coursework, certificate, or formal instruction in use of dedicated hydraulic modeling software preferred.
* Gas compression experience preferred.
* Experience with AutoDesk software or other 3D design platforms preferred.

Target salary range: $90,000 to $120,000. The primary duties of a Transmission Project Manager/Team Lead include managing the execution of all aspects of high voltage electric transmission line projects of all sizes and complexity, including scope and/or proposal development, project team development and assignment, project execution, project closeout, quality control, schedule, and budget management.
