Your Opportunity
The role of Senior Mechanical Engineering is to guide our Mechanical team and manage the design and delivery of small to large projects and to develop and maintain relations with current and future clients within our business line. You will represent project work in client meetings and be part of teams to cultivate relationships with client organizations. As a Senior Engineer you will focus on the design, construction, operation and maintenance of mechanical systems for engineering projects of a complex nature. You would provide leadership and training to more junior professional and technical staff and provide technical guidance to less experienced professionals or technicians assigned to work on a common project. Your Key Responsibilities

* Engage a team and lead the development of a design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats.
* Teaming with design colleagues to conceptualize and develop full documentation for new construction and renovation projects.
* Day-to-day team oversight and communication with the client and project team.
* Track project progress against proposed scope, fee, schedule, and budget, communicate with stakeholders, identify and offer options to mitigate risk.
* Coordinate and lead other disciplines on projects as needed.

Your Capabilities and Credentials
* Strong understanding of the Science and Technology and Mechanical Discipline within the US Northeast and beyond.
* Demonstrated technical skills on major projects.
* Exceptional leadership, verbale and written communication, organization, coordination, and team-building skills.
* Requisite knowledge, interpretation, and application of the mechanical and/or plumbing codes, energy codes, ASHRAE standards, and other building codes.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems means and methods, materials, concepts, and industry standards.

* Demonstrate creativity, foresight, and mature engineering judgment in anticipating and solving problems.

Education and Experience
* 10 years of related experience (Consulting preferred) relevant working experience in designing Mechanical and HVAC systems, with a minimum 5 years of project management experience.
* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution, or equivalent relevant experience.
* Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is a plus.
* PMP certification, is desirable.
* Broad general knowledge of various buildings designs, including a strong familiarity with multiple disciplines including, Mechanical, Electrical, and Structural Engineering as well as Architecture and Interior Design

Pay Range:
* Locations in MN, OH, VT, & Various CA, NY Areas-$107,100.00 - $160,700.00 Annually
Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.

Primary Responsibilities

Serve as Discipline or Task Lead for railroad or civil engineeringdesign projects, and other offices to support the Freight Rail Market Sector and other market sectors as needed.
Support Project Managers by leading or participating in marketing and contracting activities.
Manage scope, budget, and schedule, as well as development of design criteria, specifications, project guides, project meeting notes, and cost estimating activities.
Perform railroad and/or civil engineering/design planning, analysis, and design aspects of rail and rail-related transportation projects.
Lead and/or perform detailed QC reviews of projects.
Support Project Managers by leading, or participating in client and stakeholder visits, site visits, field assessments, and construction inspections as needed.

Purpose

Leadership and Direction
* Receive general instruction on key objectives for execution. Receive direction as needed, and especially complex assignments, modified techniques, and new approaches on assignments with conflicting criteria. Review work produced by junior staff for quality assurance.

* Assist with the marketing of the firm's capabilities to establish new clients and enhance relationships.
* Represent project team in client communications and resolutions.
Do the Work
* Lead and participate in the design and development of electrical plan sets, including site layouts and equipment details.
* Perform final reviews and PE approval for PV and Energy Storage system electrical designs.
* Lead and participate in design related consulting and PV system modeling.
* Oversee and supervise contractors and employees who are performing project tasks by providing technical support and guidance during execution.
* Learn and enhance plan-set templates, standards, and best practices.
* Design equipment layouts, installation details, and single-line diagrams (PV, MV, Auxiliary Power, Monitoring, etc.).

Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
* Three or more (3+) years of relevant experience in the Solar PV industry.
* Plans or progress toward earning Professional Engineer (PE) license.
* Medium voltage design and interconnection experience.
* NABCEP Certified PV Installation Professional.
* High proficiency in AutoCAD required.
* Experience with PV system modeling software such as PVsyst, Helioscope and/or Homer desired
* Ability to perform shading analyses is highly desirable.
* Energy storage system design experience is highly desirable.
* Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner, and to act as a project leader of a PV design team.
* Must hold a NCEEES record or be willing to quickly establish one.

Duties, Responsibilities & Other
KCI Technologies Diving Practice is hiring a Professional Engineer-Diver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be adept at planning, directing, and monitoring marine engineering and diving projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct underwater inspections of various structures, including bridges, dams, piers, wharves, marinas, ports, bulkheads, and seawalls.
Perform condition inspections and quality control inspections for construction projects.
Engage in structural design and analysis of marine structures.
Prepare detailed technical reports and oversee the plan development process from concept through final construction plans for new structures, rehabilitations, and repairs.
Manage projects effectively, ensuring completion on schedule and within budget.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Comprehensive understanding of all facets of commercial diving and ADCI requirements for surface-supplied air diving.
Proficiency in structural engineering, design, analysis, and bridge condition inspection is highly desirable.
Experience with bridge, waterfront, and/or dam projects is preferred.
Additional Qualifications:
Proven project management experience with a track record of successful project delivery.
Certification by the Association of Diving Contractors International (ADCI) is required.
Professional Engineering License for the designated state is required.
National Highway Institute (NHI) Bridge Inspection certification is a plus.
Valid driver's license is required.
Travel up to 50% of the time is a requirement of this position

Track project progress against proposed scope, fee, schedule, and budget, communicate with stakeholders, identify and offer options to mitigate risk.
Coordinate and lead other disciplines on projects as needed.
Evaluate engineered systems as part of project work.
Manage project scope, budget, and schedule.
Be comfortable with project work for multiple sectors such as science and technology, industrial, manufacturing, commercial office, healthcare, higher education, and/or research laboratory.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Strong understanding of the Science and Technology and Mechanical Discipline within the US Northeast and beyond.
Demonstrated technical skills on major projects.

Requisite knowledge, interpretation, and application of the mechanical and/or plumbing codes, energy codes, ASHRAE standards, and other building codes.
