Your Opportunity
Join Stantec's Cultural Resources team in and around our Riverview, Jacksonville, and Tallahassee, FL offices to play an integral role in conducting archaeological survey, testing, data recovery, and monitoring. Stantec is seeking archaeological technicians for an upcoming Phase III project in Tennessee, scheduled to begin in October, with the possibility of extension. Priority will be given to those with Phase II or Phase III experience. There is also potential for further work beyond this project. These will be project-based positions and may require travel for several weeks at a time (until project completion). Paid travel day, standard GSA per diem, and single occupancy rooms provided by Stantec. Typical work shifts are 6 days on (8-10 hour days) / 1 day off (Sunday).
Your Key Responsibilities
The position will primarily consist of fieldwork but may include laboratory work such as cleaning and cataloging artifacts, analysis, and research. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to performing archaeological fieldwork tasks including controlled surface survey; shovel test survey; and excavation. Duties may also include cleaning and cataloging artifacts.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Experience in Phase II testing or Phase III data recovery projects preferred
- Experience on Phase I survey projects
- Previous experience with mapping equipment and other special application equipment (e.g., emlid, digital data collection, etc.)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Detail oriented; resourceful; self-motivated; strong initiative
- Positive and energetic attitude
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in anthropology/archaeology or related field, or combination of education and experience
- Successful completion of an archeology field school
- Full-time, professional experience conducting archaeological survey and excavation
- Knowledge of prehistoric and historic material culture
- Ability to complete physically demanding tasks in remote areas and/or humid continental climate, including walking, hiking, carrying heavy loads, and digging
- Frequent out-of-town travel, potentially for extended periods of time
- Qualified applicants should exhibit strong technical skills, good communication skills, and feel comfortable making decisions in the field
- Must have a valid driver's license with good driving record and be able to operate motorized vehicles
- Must be able to pass pre-employment and post-employment checks as needed, including background checks and drug tests

Supervises subordinate inspectors responsible for monitoring work quality and performance

Exercising independent judgment in planning work details and making technical decisions related to the office aspects of the project
Familiarity with the Department's Procedures covering the project related duties as stated above and proficient in the computer programs necessary to perform those duties
Become proficient in Trimble Business Center - Heavy Construction Edition (HCE) or approved surface to surface comparison software and Engineering Menu
Provides document management and project controls support which includes the receipt, inventory, audit, tracking, storage, retrieval and distribution of both classified and unclassified electronic, paper and other media project data and documents according to company policy, and proper procedures for the projects

to join our transportation team in the

area. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of infrastructure projects, including roadway and bridge construction, while supporting the delivery of high-quality construction engineering and inspection services.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
The Inspector will be responsible for inspecting construction work and conducting field tests for compliance with contract documents
Responsible for performing assignments assisting Senior CEI Inspector in the performance of their duties and who reviews work while in progress
Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties
Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records.
Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning
Tracks quality assurance progress
Construction inspection of roadway and bridge construction
Monitoring on site construction activities
Conduct inspections, observations and run materials tests and checking construction work
Communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing)
Receiving general supervision from and assisting the Senior Inspector in the performance of their duties
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:

Your impact:
Project Management
Responsible for the management of Project Development & Environment (PD&E) projects for FDOT.
Direct and/or develop project documents, including the Preliminary Engineering Report and environmental reports.
Develop and implement a Public Involvement Plan, including a public hearing and project notifications
Prepare engineering calculations, quantities, and cost estimates
Manage and maintain project documentation, including monitoring project schedules, budgets, and scope
Implement quality assurance and quality control procedures
Coordinate with project staff, other disciplines, and sub-consultants, and reviewers to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
Resource planning of team members to deliver projects on time and on budget.
Business Development and Marketing
Marketing and business development, including meeting with clients, developing project approaches, providing content for proposals, and preparing presentations.
Responsible for client development and fostering relationships with existing and new clients.
Lead and/or assist in preparation of scope of services and fee proposal.
Attend industry forums and conferences to promote Lochner and our transportation practice.
Who you are:

has an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Technician II to join our Jacksonville Remediation team. You will work on a diverse range of projects delivering remediation system solutions to our key clients.
The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively with members of the project team, clients, site personnel and office management, and work both independently and as part of a project team. In addition, the successful candidate will be committed to the team's success and growth; will rigorously apply safety policies and procedures; and will effectively manage the quality of field efforts within the bounds of the AECOM Quality Management System.
The role requires a strong mechanical and safety aptitude, and the candidate must have experience working with plumbing, electrical, and general construction related trades. Duties include (but will not be limited to) equipment maintenance coordination, remediation system maintenance, and environmental sampling activities. Although this is a field position that involves significant equipment maintenance and construction related activities, there will be direct interaction with clients, and the candidate must have experience communicating with clients on a professional level.
The job responsibilities for the position will include but are not limited to the following:
Performs a variety of tasks in support of project staff.
May gather and maintain specified records of scientific data for supervisor, including but not limited to environmental sampling, operations and maintenance and inspections at client sites.
Other activities may include assisting with calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining proper project documentation.
Effective interaction with internal and external clients
Leading and participating in field meetings, possible oversight of subcontractors, contribute to and following safe work practices, developing/following/implementing safety plans on a day-to-day basis, recognizing hazards and documenting safety observations
Qualifications

- Manage Energy projects/programs.
- Support and contribute to our Project Management best practices and methodology in alignment with our Project Management Frameworks and our culture of excellence in executing projects.
- Coordinate with leadership, discipline leads, inter-discipline teams, high value engineering centers, clients, regulatory entities, vendors and sub-contractors.
- Coordinate with leadership to ensure alignment and consistency of project execution.
- Contribute to client satisfaction by building a culture of excellence and accountability within the Project Management community. Support client relationship management efforts by coaching and mentoring staff.
- Practice effective business discipline across our business line to ensure proactive monitoring and project management related to resources, schedule, budget, and quality.
- Identify and resolve project execution gaps (people, processes, and systems) in collaboration with leadership.
- Provide accurate feedback and develop action plans to implement lessons learned, opportunities for improvement and industry best practices.
- Support BC Leadership in resource management processes, recruitment, succession planning, and coaching/mentoring for PMs and Project Leaders.
- Lead or support proposals as required.
- Support mentorship and development of junior staff.
- Achieve utilization target as agreed annually.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Engineering design and construction experience with power plant projects.
- Expertise in Project management including, team leadership, resource management, scheduling, project controls, reporting and document controls.
- Strong leader and team player, collaborator, and communicator with strong interpersonal skills and experience in managing a team.
- Project management experience in leading projects utilizing various delivery models such as EPC (Engineer Procure Construct), DBB (Design Bid Build), ECI (Early Contractor Involvement) etc.
- Knowledge of multi-discipline engineering services related to energy projects.
- Experience in business development, proposal, and budget development.
- Demonstrated leadership competencies.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work across multiple offices and geographies.
- Problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify when a project is in trouble (e.g., deviations from baseline scope, schedule, or budget) and ability to take corrective action to address the problem.
- Ability to travel to US and Canadian offices and client sites, as required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, organizations skills and aptitude for problem solving.
- Proficient in the Microsoft 365 platform including Teams and SharePoint with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel would being beneficial.
- Must have good driving record and valid Driver's License.
- Prior to employment with Stantec, this position may require the successful passing of a drug and alcohol screen.
Education and Experience
- B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering disciplines, or related fields.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience working on power generation projects, as Owner's Engineer projects (all phases - development through construction) and/or detailed engineering/design projects.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, and/or as a "seller-doer".
- Registration as a Professional Engineer is preferred, but not required.
- Position will primarily work in an office setting.
- Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.

**Pay Range:**
- Locations in MN, OH, VT, & Various CA, NY Areas-$107,100.00 - $160,700.00 Annually
- Locations in CO, HI, IL, MD & Various CA, NJ Areas-$117,800.00 - $176,800.00 Annually
- Locations in WA, DC & Various CA, MA areas-$126,400.00 - $189,600.00 Annually
**Pay Transparency:** In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.

Your impact:
Provide Project Engineer/Administrator Services in support of Lochner's North Florida CEI operations. Services to be provide on existing and future contracts for FDOT Districts 2, 3 and 5 and other regional municipalities.
Who you are:
Road & bridge construction engineering inspection (CEI) experience having performed/assisted in project related duties (i.e., Materials Acceptance and Certification (MAC) System, progress and final estimates, EEO compliance, processing Construction Contract changes, etc.). Should have the ability to lead construction engineering administration and inspection teams and have effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to market and pursue projects with new and existing clients. Should be able to exercise independent judgment in planning work details and making technical decisions related to construction and the office aspects of the project. Should be knowledgeable of FDOT Procedures covering the project related duties as stated above and be proficient in the computer programs necessary to perform these duties.
Requirements:
Civil Engineering degree plus four (4) years of CEI experience in construction of major road or bridge structures preferred, or for non-degreed personnel eight (8) years of responsible and related CEI experience, four (4) years of which involved construction of major road or bridge structures.
