Your Opportunity
The role of an entry level Civil EIT is to work as a team member on innovative transportation projects under the guidance of a Senior Engineer. The Civil EIT will work under close supervision of a Senior Engineer to develop skills around traffic and ITS engineering projects. The Civil EIT will perform a variety of tasks which may include assisting with the analysis and modeling of traffic operations and safety through HCM and HSM methodology, development of traffic signal or ITS design plans, and performing some field work related to data collection and design.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Select and apply appropriate design criteria to perform traffic engineering design assignments.
- Perform analyses related to traffic operations and safety.
- Assist in the preparation of engineering project documents such as traffic impact studies, stage 0 analyses, and transportation management plans.
- Prepare high quality contract documents (plans, specifications, and estimates) for the construction of traffic and ITS infrastructure.
- Provide technical inputs and help optimize solutions
- Utilize relevant software programs to perform analyses and modeling such as HCS, Sidra, Synchro, Vistro, VISSIM, and IHSDM.
- Prepare exhibits, designs and complex working drawings using AutoCAD, Microstation, and OpenRoads Designer.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Ability to solve problems using sound engineering judgment, creativity and innovation.
- Take initiative on tasks and in coordinating with other members of the design team.
- Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite.
- Ability to collaborate and work with others located in other offices via a virtual environment is critical.
- Ability to effectively discuss project issues, understand the context, identify opportunities and challenges and provide potential solutions.
- Working knowledge of relevant standards such as ITE Trip Gen, MUTCD, HCM, and HSM is a plus.
- Experience with software such as HCS, Sidra, Synchro, Vistro, VISSIM, and IHSDM is a plus.
- Microstation experience is required. Experience with InRoads, OpenRoads, and/or GeoPak/3D Modeling is a plus.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.

The candidate will lead bridge inspection teams as needed, perform inspections, write and review inspection reports, assist with rehabilitation and design projects, and assist with load rating projects. Your Capabilities and Credentials

- Ability to travel in/out of office periodically (15-30%)

LOGGER/FIELD TECHNICIAN
Our New Orleans office has an entry level job opportunity with benefits for a Logger/Field Technician. A logger/field technician will document geotechnical drilling project activities, including classification of samples, preparing samples for shipment, and keeping a written log of the borings. As needed, the logger will assist the driller in solid stem and hollow stem auger drilling and Shelby tube sampling techniques and help move, set up and operate drilling rigs and related equipment to drill holes for geotechnical exploration test borings. Site investigation/geotechnical drilling is done to determine the soil characteristics on construction sites. Work is outdoors in all weather conditions and out of town work required regularly. The work is generally physically demanding.
Responsibilities:
* Assist drillers with locating job site and areas for drilling (job setup)
* Identify boring locations using plans and GPS
* Prepare soil samples obtained by the drillers
* Package and label samples and transport samples to laboratory
* Keep a written log of all soil borings
* Load and unload equipment and supplies
* Communicate with client and company representatives.
* Ability to lift drill steel and materials weighing up to 80 lbs.
* Assist in installing monitoring well casing and screens
* Clean and maintain equipment
* Help obtain drilling core samples
* Assist with well development and pumping tests

* Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
* Soil classification experience a plus but will train

Job Description
AECOM US+LATAM Energy practice is expanding our operations leadership team and is seeking candidates to lead our Engineering teams in our Industrial and Generation department. This leadership role will be responsible for: overseeing and developing the department's engineering capabilities in alignment with business needs, serving as the key liaison between the technical and business development activities, and providing strategic vision to improve the I&G department's technical resources by identifying strategic hires and implementing continuous improvement techniques to increase efficient execution of work assignments in accordance with AECOM Quality and Safety standards.
Responsibilities of the role includes, but not limited to:
Business Planning/Budgeting
Provides input to I&G Director for annual budgets and business planning, staff utilization, department resource needs (hardware/software needs, strategic investments) and other anticipated indirect expenses (training, seminars, conference attendance)
Works with Team Leaders and I&G Leadership to anticipate future resource and staff needs to optimize the department staff utilization, including incorporation of value Engineering Centers in project staff planning
Financial Management
Works in collaboration with stakeholders (typically Capture Manager, Team Leads and I&G Leadership) to review and approve labor cost estimates
Establishes and Manages indirect costs associated with I&G Technical department.
Resource Management
Work with Team Leaders to identify and provide resources for respective teams
Supports Team Leaders in acquiring and managing assets (hardware, software, field equipment, etc.)
Supports Team Leaders in hiring and retaining staff
Works with Capture Manager when needed to develop competitive staffing plans in support of proposed projects, maximizing use of value Engineering Centers when possible
Works with Team Leaders and Project Managers to ensure appropriate staffing plans and resources are in place for support of projects
Develops, maintains and reports to I&G Leadership staffing/utilization trends and forecast as part of proactive resource management

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
BA/BS + 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership
10 years of relevant engineering experience within industrial, refineries and/or power facilities
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years experience in team supervision
7+ years as technical lead on industrial or power generation projects
Physical design experience for industrial facilities
Demonstrated experience in planning and coordinating engineering and design for complex, multi-discipline programs/projects and teams
Demonstrated experience in work process standardization and continuous improvement of engineering work product development
Demonstrated experience in resource planning (labor forecasting, hiring, staff planning, labor cost estimating)
Experience in supporting business development activities, including proposal work scope development and contributing in prospective client meetings and presentations when needed
Passion in developing talented technical teams
Experience on full EPC, Design/Build projects from start to finish.
Experience in workshare with international engineering resource centers
Field construction support and commissioning experience
Successful experience working in remote and multi-discipline teams
Expert familiarity with industry codes and standards in their respective discipline
Familiarity with engineering analysis software (ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, STAAD, Fathom, Caesar)

DRILLER ASSISTANT
Our New Orleans office has an opportunity available for a Driller Assistant. A driller assistant will assist the driller in solid stem and hollow stem auger drilling and Shelby tube sampling techniques. The assistant will help move, set up and operate drilling rigs and related equipment to drill holes for geotechnical exploration test borings. Site investigation/geotechnical drilling is done to determine the soil characteristics on construction sites. Work is outdoors in all weather conditions. The work is generally physically demanding.
Responsibilities:
* Ability to lift drill steel and materials weighing up to 80 lbs.
* Label sample containers as directed
* Assist driller in maintenance and repairs to drill rig
* Expediting field supplies
* Performs duties at multiple job sites
* Performs yard duties at direction of driller
* Assist in measuring test boring locations
* Load and unload trucks
* Smoothly and quickly connect and disconnect the lower parts of the drill pipe when it is being lowered into and raised from the hole
* Catch samples of drilled cuttings to be analyzed
* Assist in installing monitoring well casing and screens
* Clean and maintain equipment
* Help move drilling rigs and equipment from site to site, set up in the new site
* Help obtain drilling core samples
* Dig and clean mud pits and drains
* Assist with well development and pumping tests
* Operate equipment such as pumps for air, water and mud, and equipment and tools used to correct problems in drilled holes
* Carry out minor maintenance and repairs, including lubrication and cleaning

AECOM is seeking an experienced Mechanical CAD Specialist to join our team, focusing on mechanical and structural heavy steel fabrication. In this role, you will work on high-impact infrastructure projects, producing detailed designs, schematics, and layouts that meet the highest standards of accuracy and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Produce mechanical and structural CAD designs for heavy steel fabrication projects.

Minimum Requirements:
Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering or similar discipline and must have completed at least 1 year of study. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor's degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship

Your Key Responsibilities
