Your Opportunity Stantec is seeking a Document Controller to join team in New York City office. The successful candidate will possess at least 5 years of experience in a document control and administrative support role. This role requires good communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a team to successfully deliver major capital projects. Your Key Responsibilities. Support project managers and engineers in the preparation of project documentation, coordination of design deliverables, and tracking of project progress Assist in organizing project data, maintaining schedules, and preparing presentations or reports for internal and client meetings. Update and maintain project data in project document systems. Adheres to document control process for all project documents including submittals, general correspondence, RFIs/RFCs, project reports, meeting minutes and other records. Maintain document control logs and action item logs, log design/document comments, and report on status of open items. Distribute documents and maintain controlled distribution lists. Assists with the change control process and files for contract changes, prepare reports, and manage all records regarding contract change issues. Assists in preparing project closeout documentation. Follows our record retention and quality procedures and policies. Your Capabilities and Credentials Proficiency in MS Office, MS SharePoint and Adobe Acrobat. Experience with Oracle Unifier, Procore, ACC or other construction document control programs is a plus. Experience with time scheduling software MS Project or Primavera 6 is a plus. Prior experience working on large infrastructure programs preferred. Must have strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and assignments. Ability to adapt to new tools, processes and project requirements as part of a multidisciplinary team. Education and Experience Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
