Within this team, you will have the opportunity to work on Data Center projects of various sizes across the country. The Mission Critical space requires a very proactive, responsive, and efficient design team with projects serving Fortune 10 companies who are making headlines with transformational projects. The candidate will work directly with clients to successfully implement and manage project design and construction administration. The candidate will be responsible for Project Management, development of project team members, and for supporting and managing civil site design services of private data center projects. This position will coordinate, and lead project teams focused on engineering and construction related services. Your Key Responsibilities Work with multidisciplinary teams to undertake site development projects related to their planning, design and engineering. Client types include private developers, general contractors, and architects. Seeking a motivated individual who is, enthusiastic, flexible, innovative, organized, and possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills. Liaise with clients and sub-consultants and ensure that the project's/client's needs are met in a timely and effective manner. Leads project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants. Ability to review, markup, and coordinate the delivery of documentation in various project phases including site plans, utility plans, grading plans, stormwater systems as well as other components of the project. Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought. Thorough understanding of the land development process and ability to effectively communicate ideas to others. Assist the design team in the creation of sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats. Assist with proposal development, interviews, and presentations. Market and support client growth throughout North America. Utilizes technologies in development of three-dimensional models of civil systems and provides markups for junior engineers/designers. Develops and manages the project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule. Conducts quality assurance and quality control on own projects and projects of peers. Assists in the development of new standards and processes for the team. Your Capabilities and Credentials Strong understanding of all phases of project document production Strong knowledge of civil systems means and methods, materials, and industry standards. Ability to lead one or more teams through all phases of project document production. Checks the work of others for accuracy and completeness and manages time to meet project budget and schedule. Participates and collaborates in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought. Advanced understanding of civil engineering concepts and ability to communicate ideas to others. Advanced oral and written communication skills. Effective communicator and able to work on and lead teams. Efficient project management of multiple concurrent projects. The position is full-time embedded on-site field construction support role. Position Summary PM supporting General Services Admin. (GSA) "Owner" and their agencies "Tenants". Duties involve managing the Owner's interests (not the construction team) on a single project, at the project site to achieve specified objectives. Involves engaging and leading the project delivery team providing CPM / Owner's Representative supporting the project completion and FA Class-A Acceptance. Reports directly to the AECOM Business Development Leader. Manages the project to achieve specified objectives. Involves overall planning, coordination, and control of a project support to produce a functionally and financially viable project that will be completed on time, within budget and of the intended quality. Serve as Owners Rep. during design, construction, and Cx/closeout activities - as primary point of contact in the field - collaborates and coordinates per the contract and communication plan with the GSA CO (and the PM/COR, Ppty Mgr, O&M, key stakeholders, etc); and interfaces with the project Contractor (DB team), providing proactive project assessment and support, and maintains team engagement, and client satisfaction. Provide feedback on all on-site activities and escalating issues to the GSA CO, PM/COR. Oversight of the Fire Alarm Modernization work includes ancillary work and systems integration and modernization as required. This position is independent of and DOES NOT supervise, manage, or direct the DB Team or their Subs / Trade Partners. Delivers revenues resulting from exceptional quality and execution of projects. Maintains profit margins and plans and completes project(s) without write-downs or multiplier erosion. Builds / supports collaborative project teams. Provides TQR and oversight of I/QAM work that monitors and reports on quality of completed and ongoing work, calls for support staff. Leads team in providing comprehensive CMa support services and owner's representation, provides on-site field observation for conformance with the SOW, Contract, GSA CBS (Core Building Standards) applicable codes and standards, provides summary progress documentation of the construction activities, implementing robust Quality Assurance monitoring and assessment of the Design Build Contractor's Quality Control Plan, staff management, execution of work, reviewing and validating contractor's self-performed inspections, and certifying work in place for recommending payment of Invoices and accepting work, provides real time feedback to the client regarding scope of work completion and contract compliance; recognizes risk and uncertainty and develops plans to mitigate and eliminate such, and operates to minimize unsatisfactory work and exposure to claims. Evaluates Contractor capabilities to provide required quality and maintain schedule. Typically supports projects involving RTF (Risk Triggering Factors). Position requires support of projects managing the scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and change management, coordinating with other staff and inspectors to provide oversight and technical quality review, coordinating the observation and conformance of the construction work done by the DB Contractor on the Owner's behalf, leading an integrated collaborative team that supports the Owner's interests. This individual in charge of this task must have: Qualifications MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, business or construction management, plus six (6) years of related experience / demonstrated equivalency of experience and / or education. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Have at least fifteen (15) years of experience in developing and maintaining complex, multi-year project management activities including but not limited to Developing/Controlling budgets Scheduling and coordination of projects in existing, secure, and occupied facilities. Managing interdisciplinary teams. Integrating competing and/or conflicting elements into the planning and execution processes Familiarity with Federal and local government office building projects, with procedural requirements, review requirements, and approval requirements Proven Experience performing and supporting the successful completion of similar projects in comparable environments and conditions. * Professional Engineering or Architectural Registration / License a plus. CMAA Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Project management Professional (PMP) a plus. * Federal (or state/municipal) governmental experience. * Prior experience in the support and management of successfully completed design-build construction of Fire Alarm or critical systems modernizations in occupied buildings. * Prior experience working on GSA and/or other federal agency or government construction projects including Federal projects at operational, complex, secure facilities such as US Courts, Airports, Prisons, State or Municipal sites, or demonstrated equivalency. * Experience supporting and/or managing complex projects as a CPM. * Knowledge of and proven experience with managing planning, design (design and constructability reviews, submittals, value added); construction (CM/PM support services, representation, field observation, and contract management), closeout and warranty (Cx support, warranty backcheck) phases. * Thorough knowledge of engineering and construction principles, practices and procedures, familiarity with applicable codes, laws, regulations, and overlay Federal guidelines / Contract administration, principles of project management, and field observation and supervision. * Professional demeanor, attentive customer service skills, clear and detailed oral and written communication, collaborative team building skills, lead by example, proactive problem solver, seeking de-escalation.
