Our staff of professionals includes specialists in biology, wetland science, soil science, fisheries, botany, hydrogeology, engineering, forestry, habitat and ecosystem restoration, environmental policy and permitting, and GIS. We help our clients identify and respond to opportunities and constraints within the changing regulatory and corporate environment, through active engagement with the public, stakeholder groups, and government regulators. Your Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and project management for oil & gas midstream permitting projects (FERC-regulated natural gas or liquids pipeline projects) and energy transition projects throughout the US.
- Manage permit applications and agency coordination related to Threatened and Endangered Species, Sections 404/10, Coastal Zone Management Act, and Section 106 Cultural Resources.
- Develop and maintain positive client relationships, including seeking opportunities for new business and supporting proposal development.
- Create technical documents and provide review of technical documents that support regulatory submissions.
- Support and ensure implementation of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Policies, Procedures, Standards and Guidelines in the execution of all work and coordinate with HSE professionals during the execution of all phases of project planning and implementation.
- Communicate and collaborate with other Environmental and Regulatory Specialists to ensure consistency in project execution.
- This position works as part of a larger midstream & energy permitting team and there will be opportunities to support multiple Stantec projects and offices nationwide.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Demonstrated experience managing pipeline projects. Experience permitting large natural gas or liquids pipelines is critical.
- Demonstrated experience with FERC and NEPA requirements and processes, mitigation measures, and related implementation.
- Demonstrated experience managing FERC-regulated projects, including 7(b)/ 7(c) applications and prior notice/blanket authorization projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing resource report development for FERC-regulated projects
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and to prioritize and balance sometimes heavy workloads to achieve goals while keeping up with a highly mobile and changing environment.
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills, and be customer focused to understand and appropriately respond to client's business needs.
- Demonstrated ability to foster and grow strong client relationships
- Working understanding of policies and procedures for HSSE, including client-specific training (as required).
- Project and task management experience with strong attention to detail.

Position Summary:
This position is to provide primary administrative support for the Geosynthetics group. One of the major responsibilities is GEO payroll. This position provides critical support with real time input due to familiarity with day-to-day operations and crew movement. Support field crews as needed (hotels/logistics).

* Perform facility assessments of buildings, structures, and other real property assets across the building structural/civil/architectural, mechanical/electrical/plumbing and fire protection systems. Perform utility infrastructure assessments of stormwater, wastewater, water, electrical, natural gas, compressed air, pavement, and other linear utility distribution type assets.
* Conduct inventory and condition assessments of building systems consistent with the UNIFORMAT convention per ASTM E1557.
* Utilize electronic mediums (smartphone, tablets, or other devices) efficiently to accurately capture inventory and condition assessment data.
* Provide quality assurance over field data collected by self or others to ensure accuracy and eliminate data gaps.
* Identify building/infrastructure components and document deficiencies to update the facility condition index (FCI).
* Field work on-site in both CONUS and OCONUS on trips lasting 1-3 weeks.
* Use of various condition assessment and inventory data systems. Project activities can also include obtaining and correlating existing building drawings, preparing data collection devices, assessment of facility exterior, interior, and roof, as well as mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems (MEP) and providing scope and rough order of magnitude costs for needed repairs and condition index for each assessed facility.
* Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
* Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline, knowledge, and awareness.

Qualifications:
* The assessment and inventory collection requirements are varied and often vary from one location to the next. Successful candidates should have at least two years of experience or a technical degree with knowledge of building, utility, or infrastructure systems listed in the position summary and a working knowledge of other associated systems.
* Successful candidates will also have a strong desire to learn more about the technology used to assess and collect inventory information of various systems and be comfortable entering data in portable electronic devices.
* Mechanical/Electrical assessors shall be capable of conducting inventory and condition assessments of building mechanical/electrical/plumbing (MEP) systems and supporting infrastructure.
* Structural assessors shall be capable of understanding and identifying building envelopes including various structural systems, exterior/interior walls and windows, roofing, flooring, and related architectural finishes.

HDR is looking for a Water Resources Modeler to join our Water Resources team in Sacramento, CA. Candidates for the position should have experience in reservoir system operations, hydrologic, and hydraulic modeling and analysis, watershed hydrology and climate change analysis. Our clients include local, state, and federal agencies.
Our team is growing and has a range of challenging and innovative projects. We work within multi-disciplinary teams on projects related to water supply, reservoir operations modeling, including hydrology development and analysis; reservoir simulation, optimization and re-operation; hydrologic and climate change modeling; and ensemble and statistical analysis, FERC relicensing, flood management, and ecological enhancements. The preferred candidate would have experience in a combination of these subject areas.
Skills such as scripting (such as WRESL, Python/Jython, or VBA) and experience with CalSim II and CalSim 3, CalLite, VIC, HEC software (such as HEC-SSP, HEC-HMS, HEC-ResSim and both HEC-RAS 1D and 2D), water temperature modeling (HEC 5Q, CE QUAL W2), climate change analytical tools and datasets (such as Global Circulation Models and downscaling methods), linear programming and optimization would be considered beneficial.
The candidate is expected to be a key part of project delivery teams; mentor junior staff; manage small- to medium-sized projects; and effectively interact with clients and peers. * Assist in the drafting of Section 404/401 permit applications and impact exhibits to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and State and Local environmental agencies.
* Prepare applications such as Water Quality Impact Assessment and RPA encroachment requests for Local approval, and NPDES permitting through States.
* Work closely with senior environmental scientists to learn and assist with the Environmental team's work.

Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, or related field required at time of employment.
* Three or more (3+) years of relevant industry-related experience.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* Proficiency in AutoCAD.
* Must hold a valid state driver's license and successfully pass a motor vehicle check.
