My educational track in Switzerland was in banking, yet I never really connected with it. Then, after serving as a First Lieutenant in the Swiss Army and leading a platoon of 35 and completing University, I realized leadership was where I belonged. Through my network I secured a role in the manufacturing side of the medical industry and felt at home.

My early career is full of consolidations and changes. However, it was through these early roles that I established rapport with the Amplifon Group. They recruited me to join the retail side of the industry, and I have been on the retail side since that day.

I developed a reputation with Amplifon Group of persevering and getting the job done. As a result, I was repeatedly challenged to turn around struggling areas of the business. To succeed in these environments I have developed a clear leadership style and approach. I work to anticipate market trends, stipulate a strategy and then execute it. I believe in speedy execution of the stipulated strategy since we are rarely afforded the luxury of time in any given market.

My teams have come to appreciate my clear communication and style. I support and guide my team through conviction and leave no room for misunderstanding. It is important to me that we move forward together-as a unit. I understand that people are at the core of my success and I develop workplace environments that recognize the importance of individual contribution and inclusion.

A couple of my proudest career achievements include:

►TRANSFORMING AMPLIFON USA: There was a good number of skeptics about the chances of my succeeding at turning this ship around. However, after persevering through the initial obstacles, a clear strategy was stipulated, a strong management team was built and together we pushed through and executed.

►SUCCESSFULLY ANTICIPATING MARKET TRENDS: Through market analysis, in 2008 anticipated a need to move Miracle-Ear franchise locations out of Sears.
