The position serves as Food Services Shift Supervisor at a correctional facility with responsibility for directing the work of subordinate staff and prisoner workers during a shift in food service operations. The Record Office is a complex work area responsible for the interpretation of court documents, intake and release of all prisoners, transfer of prisoners within and outside of the Department, processing of all pending felony charges and outstanding felony warrants. The Record Office ensures the daily prisoner count is accurate based on the completion of the daily bulletin and review of all movements into and out of the facility. Position Description Education Possession of a bachelor's degree in religion, theology, divinity, or in an area of human services such as guidance and counseling, social work, criminal justice, etc. Experience Three years of professional experience as a religious leader either in a community or institutional setting equivalent to an Institution Chaplain, including one year equivalent to an Institution Chaplain P11.Possession of an associate's degree in religious studies or an area of human services and two years (4,160 hours) of experience performing religious services such as marriages, burials, baptisms, and any other services unique to the particular faith may be substituted for the education requirement. This position participates in the day to day work activities of the unit with regard to the operations of Parks and Recreation Division administered facilities. The employee shall assist the Unit Supervisor/Lead Ranger in various administrative tasks as delegated with minimal supervision. The employee shall perform various types of operational and maintenance duties consistent with the operation of Parks and Recreation Division administered facilities. This position will train and provide guidance to staff, maintain grounds, infrastructure and equipment, and perform other duties as assigned. The employee shall regard their personal safety, as well as the safety of co-workers and the public, as their personal responsibility. This position requires that the employee hold a DNR Law Enforcement Commission As a requirement for this position, attendance at the Parks and Recreation Division Law Enforcement Academy and Ranger Operations Academy is required. These are two separate trainings typically totaling 12 weeks with courses intended to increase your physical ability to handle incidents, increase your knowledge of Parks & Recreation Rules as well as park operations. These trainings will require overnight stays in / at a learning facility.
