The Opportunity Alliance is looking to hire a part-time Call Specialist to jump in and support the Contact Center/211 Maine in an overnight schedule.
211 Maine is a free, confidential information and referral service. Our Call Specialists receive calls, texts and emails from individuals seeking access to health and human services and guidance to help them connect with essential community services. In this role, our specialists are expected to provide quality customer service, empathetic care, and informed problem-solving skills for individuals in need. This position will also require complete, thorough and accurate documentation as required by the program with timeliness to meet program standards. Comfort with multiple platforms is crucial to the successful completion of training.
Schedule: PART-TIME, 24 hours. OVERNIGHT schedule.
211 Maine is a 24-hour program, flexibility is required.
Location: Office is based in South Portland, ME. Remote work may be an option to be discussed during an interview. Will be required to attend an on-site orientation and some on-site training may be required.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates Degree preferred.
Ability to obtain certification as an Information and Referral Specialist (CIRS) within 3 years.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Strong working knowledge of computers and software programs required.
Previous experience (in a call center or providing Information & Referral) preferred
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail at all times and an ability to plan and utilize time in an efficient manner required.
Ability to take initiative required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background, child protective service check & sex offender check.
Must not be on the state or federal suspension and disbarment list.

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for serving as the lead processor for the Records Office, ensuring accuracy of institutional, state, and federal reporting to agencies such as the Tennessee Board of Regents, the Tennessee Higher Education Commission, the Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation, and the National Student Clearinghouse. This position is also responsible for accurate data entry related to critical processes within the Records Office that support multiple departments and stakeholders. Assist with the schedule building process and registration cycles to ensure system accuracy. Assist with the end of term processing, beginning of term setup, and analyzing Banner updates as they relate to the Admissions and Records Department. Back-up support for transcript request processing, curriculum maintenance, program of study changes, and other Records related requests. Participate in cross-departmental collaboration campus wide to support compliance, student success, and data integrity.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Holistic Student Support
Adhere to reporting deadlines and assist with extracting data for both internal and external reporting (Clearinghouse, Tennessee Board of Regents, etc.).
Review reporting errors and resolve them within a timely manner.
Provide accurate data entry for both credit and vocational students related to withdrawal processes for various departments.
Assist with the beginning of term setup, term scheduling, schedule accuracy, and providing guidance on best practices for scheduling in Banner.
Assist with the year-round schedule building process, term set-up, registration codes, course section maintenance, and other schedule related responsibilities.
Assist with end of term processing to produce accurate final grades, academic standing, repeated grade identification, and other Records office reporting.
Develop written training materials highlighting the impact of critical processing errors on high-stakes reports.
Fiscal Stewardship
Assist with Bursar procedures (deletion, e-rate, dual rate, etc.) to maintain compliance with college, state, and federal policies.
Provide accurate reporting to the Tennessee Higher Education Commission as it directly affects the College's funding through the outcomes-based funding formula.
Program Innovation
Provide timely processing related to study abroad, TN eCampus, and other academic related functions.
Teaching Excellence
Provide timely processing of grade change requests, clock hour change requests, and other Records Office data changes as needed by Academic Affairs.
Organizational Culture

Job Summary:
The Adoption and Guardianship Subsidy Case Manager provides senior-level case management with direct/indirect assistance to hard to place adoptive children and their families. This position reviews applications to determine eligibility for the respective programs, and creates cases in the software systems to allow for payments to be processed and the child to receive insurance coverage. In addition, this position provides ongoing support/advocacy to the family.
Job Duties:
Determines if hard to place children in adoptive/guardianship homes are eligible for adoption or guardianship assistance respectively using completed federal and state criteria. Supports the integration and stability of the child with the adoptive family. Provides adoptive parents with resources available through public and private entities. Clearly and accurately documents each "special condition' of the child on the adoption subsidy agreement.
Provides case management and crisis intervention services to adoptive families of children who meet the "legal definition of a child with special needs". Provides comprehensive senior-level case management services and supports to prevent these adoptions from disrupting and to support the family unit through the provision of needed social services. Consults with the child's behavioral health and medical professionals, adoptive parents, school personnel and Department of Child Safety (DCS) staff to identify the level and frequency of services required to maintain children in their family unit.
Completes all required documentation on approved cases to comply with state and federal requirements. Assures that adoption subsidy agreements are executed prior to the finalization of the adoption. If case managers reduce, terminate or deny services for the child, the case manager must inform the adoptive parent of their appeal right/due process, and prepare the case for the appeal hearing.
Provides training/technical assistance to adoptive parents and adoption workers on department policies/procedures. Provides DCS permanency staff with ongoing information regarding the adoption subsidy application process, documentation requirements, statutory time frames and prior authorizations requirements. Ensures that all processes are completed timely and accurately in computer software systems that allow for payments to be processed and medical coverage to be in place.
Reviews and resolves high profile case-specific issues and concerns. Works with the office of the Attorney General, DCS Central Office administrators, medical and behavioral health professionals and school personnel so that case-specific issues and concerns can be resolved at the lowest level of intervention.

An Elections Specialist, under general supervision of the Elections Manager, performs clerical work to assist the Elections Manager with election activities conducted by Muskegon County. The Elections Specialist confirms with the Elections Manager regarding materials and staffing needs, including election-related legislative changes, notifies local election officials of legal election procedures, coordinates with local jurisdictions to maintain a state-wide voter registration system in the County, oversees the training of election workers, conducts county early voting consolidated site on even election years, assesses fees for services rendered in elections and maintains records of campaign financial statements, and performs other duties as assigned.
1. Have an Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university, AND Have a minimum of one (1) year of full-time increasingly responsible work experience;

1. Previous election experience (clerk or deputy clerk);
2. Notary Public Certification.

EVALUATION CONTENT
The selected candidate must take a post-offer medical examination (including back screen and complete physical) and drug screening test given by a County appointed physician before the first day of employment. An offer of employment is contingent upon the results of the medical examination and drug screening test. Applicants for County employment may be subject to a post-offer criminal background check, depending on the nature and assignment of the position. When such check is conducted, an offer of employment is contingent upon the results of the criminal background check. Appointees must satisfactorily complete a probationary period before the appointment will be considered permanent.
