The State College of Florida-Manatee Sarasota in Sarasota, Florida, is dedicated to meeting the workforce and educational needs of both citizens and businesses of the local community. Student life offers many resources for students interested in academics, arts and spirituality. You can join the campus ministry, participate in ceremonies or even attend extracurricular Bible Studies courses. Academics include associate's and bachelor's degrees in a wide variety of fields. Some include arts and letters, social and behavioral sciences, mathematics, science, technology and business. Programs are also available in nursing and other health professions. Admissions require students to submit an official high school transcript or GED and ACT/SAT scores, complete residency documentation to determine tuition costs and make an appointment for a mandatory orientation session. Tuition is set lower for Florida residents. Financial aid is offered to eligible students who have filed a FAFSA through the form of institutional scholarships, federal grants, loans and student employment opportunities.
