Job Summary
Colorado's construction and skilled trades sector is booming, fueling everything from housing and community development to large-scale infrastructure and green building projects. We are seeking our first Construction Trades faculty member to lead the way in building courses and training pathways that prepare students for high-demand, hands-on careers. This is a unique opportunity to bring your industry expertise into the classroom while advancing innovative practices in the field. The ideal candidate will bring experience across multiple trades in residential and commercial construction-such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or welding-and a passion for teaching and mentoring. An outstanding candidate will bring additional experience in construction management, architecture, civil engineering, building science, industrial arts, or curriculum development. This position will collaborate with the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning to develop curriculum in construction trades which support pathways in collaboration with our high school partners. Other responsibilities include developing and evaluating curriculum; advising and retention activities; assessing student and program objectives; student learning assessment duties; serving on college committees; selecting texts; and attending departmental, school, and College meetings and functions.
The Construction Trades/Construction Management Faculty position is a full-time, 9-month faculty position in the Skilled Trades Department. ACC Faculty teach 15 credits each fall and spring semester. Faculty may have the option to teach courses during the summer semester for additional compensation. Courses may be taught using both traditional and non-traditional delivery methods, including face-to-face, online, computer-aided, distance learning, self-paced, and interdisciplinary. Faculty may need to teach at any ACC campus and at a variety of times (days, evenings, and some weekends).

Qualifications
* A related Bachelor's or any Master's degree with 18 discipline related credits AND has, or qualifies for, postsecondary CTE credential including 2000 verified non-teaching occupational/industry hours; OR
* Associate degree in Construction Trades or related subfield AND has, or qualifies for, postsecondary CTE credential including 4000 verified hands-on construction trades occupational/industry hours; OR
* Current professional license in Construction or industry certification AND has, or qualifies for, postsecondary CTE credential including 4000 non-teaching occupational hours
* Experience teaching and/or training various subjects within the discipline.
* Demonstrated commitment working with and supporting students from diverse populations, which may include but are not limited to, historically marginalized communities such as people of color, LGBTQ+ community members, veterans, first generation graduates, and people with disabilities.
* Demonstrate a growth mindset regarding professional development.

Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $61,940 to $77,239, commensurate with education and experience. This salary is based on 166 contract days within an academic year (August to May). Salary will be prorated based on actual contract days worked. This is a full-time, 9-month, FLSA-exempt position. This position has been exempted from the State Classified System. AP 3-55 provides information regarding salary placement and adjustments.

Physical and Cognitive Demands
This position operates in a standard office and/or classroom environment and performs hands on instructional activities associated with construction trades. Will be expected to use materials typically found in construction trades such as lifts, cranes, machinery, and must be able to operate equipment. Occasionally moves, positions, and transports instructional equipment, up to 100 lbs.
This position's primary work location will be at ACC's Littleton campus, but the incumbent may be required to work out of any ACC campus location. Travel around the service area to visit partner schools, potential job sites, meet with industry representatives, and other locations to develop the Skilled Trades program

Work Environment
* Work is generally performed in an office, classroom, and a simulation lab. Simulation education commonly occurs out of doors and may be taught in the Mobile Education Simulation Lab at various locations around the State of Colorado. The EMS simulation rooms involve moving projected images, smells, lights and sounds.
* This position operates multiple simulation trainers, often at the same time. Simulation and skill events commonly use needles and simulated medications and IV fluids. Some classes may involve demonstration of skills on simulated patients.
* This position requires the ability to move, position, and transport classroom equipment weighing up to 120 lbs. with a team lift.

The Education Faculty position is a full-time, 9-month faculty role within the Education Department. Faculty members are responsible for teaching 15 credit hours each fall and spring semester. Opportunities to teach during the summer semester may be available for additional compensation.
Instruction may be delivered through a variety of traditional and non-traditional methods, including face-to-face, online, computer-aided, distance learning, self-paced, and interdisciplinary formats. While the primary teaching location is the Littleton Campus, faculty may be assigned to teach at any of ACC's campuses, including Littleton, Castle Rock, and Legacy, and must be available to teach during various times, including days, evenings, and some weekends.
This faculty member will support both Early Childhood Education (ECE) and Education (EDU) programs. As a full-time faculty member in the School of Business and Computing Technology, you provide instruction in accounting fundamentals, accounting principles, spreadsheet applications, and individual income tax preparation. You work individually, as well as in collaboration with colleagues, to develop innovative curriculum which meets the needs of our diverse population of students. Student retention and success is your top priority. You will utilize technology and effective teaching strategies to develop students' critical thinking skills.
As a faculty member you act as a mentor for the part-time instructors. You serve as representative of the department by participating in committees, task forces, and events at the campus, college, and/or state levels. The primary duty for this position is teaching mathematics from the developmental level through differential equations, and a full course load equals 18 work units (equivalent to 15 lecture credits) per semester. This position and the assigned salary are based on a 9-month contractual period that is paid over 12 months. Engage in scholarly and creative activities that result in peer-reviewable products such as project reports, external and internal grant proposals, conference papers, seminar presentations, books, and/or manuals. Is visible and available to staff, coaches, participants, and fans to answer questions.
Listens to concerns, resolves problems, and corrects inappropriate behavior. Communicate any issues to Field Supervisor and/or Recreation Coordinator.
Assists with ensuring the safety of participants, maintains discipline, makes weather-based decisions, and assists with handling complaints from the public.
Performs first aid as required, depending on training and certification.
Complies with District and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.
Submit any accident or reports immediately to Recreation Coordinator on District provided forms.
Desired Qualifications
18 years of age or older.
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Less than one year of practical experience in athletics, recreation, physical education, or related field.
Practical experience in athletics, recreation, physical education, or related field.
Previous experience as a pickleball instructor is preferred.
Pickleball instructor certification is preferred or the ability to obtain within 90 days.
Necessary Knowledge, Experience, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of officiating, sports, and recreation.
Skill in operation of listed tools and equipment.
Current CPR and First Aid certification.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, officials, coaches, volunteers, participants, and the public.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Must have an in-depth knowledge of Pickleball and a desire to teach the game to all ages and abilities.
Represent the District in a professional manner, exemplifying integrity and excellence always.
Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
Supervision Received
Works under the general supervision of the Recreation Coordinator.
Supervision Exercised
Supervises volunteers, spectators, and participants in pickleball programs they are scheduled to instruct.
Tools and Equipment Used
Phone/cell phone, vehicles, and various sports equipment are used in recreation programs.
Work Schedule
This is a seasonal, part-time position working up to 20 hours per week, March through October, weekends, and holidays. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
