The mandatory overtime. No work/life balance if you work in claims. Very stressful, customer focused environment. Employees are abused and not compensated enough.

Pros of working at State Farm

I begin working at State Farm in 2014. It was a great company. It appeared to be a great place to grow.

Cons of working at State Farm

The company begin to change for the worst around 2017. They began to hire anyone and the opportunity to grow was dependent upon "who you know" versus "what you know". The pay isn't the best compared to other similar roles.

Brutal call metrics. Job insecurity in the claims departments as State Farm closes smaller offices and consolidates to just four hub locations in Bloomington IL, Atlanta, Dallas, and Phoenix.
