We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and versatile Paralegal to join our small but dynamic in-house legal team. In this role, you'll provide essential legal support across a wide range of areas - including commercial contracts, compliance, corporate governance, legal training, product counseling, and intellectual property. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with our Head of Legal and other legal professionals in a fast-paced technology environment, where your contributions will make a direct and meaningful impact on the company's growth and success. This is a hybrid role, requiring you to work in our Denver office at least 1-2 days per week initially, with the schedule becoming more flexible over time.
✨ What You'll Do
Commercial Contracts:
Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements under attorney supervision, including NDAs, vendor agreements, partner agreements, and software licenses
Manage and organize the contract lifecycle, including tracking key obligations and dates and implementing CLM software
Develop and maintain contract templates and playbooks
Compliance & Training:
Develop, implement, and audit policies and compliance processes
Create and provide cross-team and company-wide legal training
Corporate:
Assist with corporate recordkeeping and data room management
Track, prepare, and file various corporate documents (e.g., foreign qualifications)
Support management of corporate requirements of international subsidiaries
Handle insurance coverage analysis, claims, broker/insurer liaison, and policy management (e.g., applications, renewals, record-keeping)
General Legal Operations & Support:
Support legal team as needed across various subject matters, including data privacy, export, and intellectual property
Conduct legal research using traditional resources (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and evolving AI tooling
Project manage long-term strategic legal projects
🎯 What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree required
ABA-approved paralegal certificate or paralegal certification preferred
We value a strong aptitude for learning and a proactive approach over extensive years of experience. While 3-5 years of paralegal experience in a law firm or in-house legal department is a plus, we are open to considering candidates with less experience who demonstrate exceptional potential and enthusiasm for the role
Demonstrated interest in corporate governance, contracts, insurance, and/or compliance support is highly desirable
Strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proactive, self-starter with a strong work ethic and an insatiable desire to learn.
High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, generative AI tools, and legal research platforms, with a commitment to learning new legal technologies, including AI, to boost efficiency in legal research, document review, and other tasks.
