ITD currently has an opening for a Right-of-Way Apprentice. This position is located at the Headquarters office in Boise, Idaho. The Right-of-Way Section is responsible for the acquisition of all property required for highway construction, material sources, and maintenance shed sites. The section is also responsible for the oversight of all Local Public Agencies acquiring property, who utilize federal funding for highway purposes. The acquisition of Right-of-Way follows the planning and design phases of the highway development process and is one of the final phases prior to the actual award of the construction contract. This position will perform entry-level Right-of-Way activities under general supervision. The Right-of-Way Apprentice position will be used for training purposes for the Right-of-Way Agent position. Through various types of on-the-job training, the employee will learn to carry out the duties of the full working level Right-of-Way Agent. Once employee has successfully met the requirements of the Right-of-Way Apprentice, they will advance to the Right-of-Way Appraiser classification. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES: Right-of-Way: * Researches public records and other sources to obtain data. * Prepares legal documents, contracts, agreements, exhibits, and reports. * Reviews final title reports for land parcels, and determines legal instruments required to release property and obtain clear title. * Verifies completeness of legal instruments, exhibits, plans, and papers for land acquisition. * Obtains market data and real estate trends. * Assembles comparables and correlates factors affecting property values and prepares Value Estimates. * Meets with property owners to review project plans, explain appraisal process and negotiate purchase agreements. * Inspects and manages department properties to ensure compliance with agreements through final disposition. * Reviews plans and deeds to verify property location, highway stations and proposed encroachments do not interfere with existing facilities or access control policies. Administrative: * Updates database system and produces project reports. * Responds to right-of-way inquiries. * Represents the department in public hearings and meetings. * Provides technical assistance and serves as liaison with federal, state, and local agencies, special interest groups, real estate organizations, property owners and the public.     DEDICATED TO STRENGTHENING THE HEALTH, SAFETY, AND INDEPENDENCE OF IDAHOANS State Hospital South (SHS) - Patient Treatment Facility (PTF) is looking for a Psychiatric Technician or a Psychiatric Technician Trainee (PTT) who is interested in becoming a full time classified Psychiatric Technician. A valid Idaho Certified Nurse's Aide Certificate is required for the Psychiatric Technician position. SHS is in beautiful Southeast Idaho, an area best known for Oregon Trail and Native American history, amazing fly fishing, towering mountain peaks with abundant wildlife and awe-inspiring geological sites. State Hospital South in Blackfoot provides psychiatric inpatient treatment and skilled nursing care for Idaho's adult citizens with the most serious and persistent mental illnesses. The hospital works in partnership with families and communities to enable clients to return to community living. State Hospital South currently houses 110 psychiatric adult beds. It also maintains a statewide program to restore the competency of criminal justice patients. Applicants who do not have a current CNA license may be considered for a Psychiatric Technician Trainee (PTT) as an underfill to the Psychiatric Technician. If hired as an underfill, the applicant should be enrolled in an accredited CNA course with the intention of obtaining a Certified Nurse's Aide certificate and the following requirements must be met: * Obtain a CNA license within 6 months of hire * Work 1040 hours * Meet the expectations & underfill in the position for 6 months These requirements will need to be met in order to successfully complete probation/underfill and move into the position as a Psychiatric Technician. * Psychiatric Technician Trainee $16.81/hour. * Psychiatric Technician $19.04/hour.
