Social Worker III's perform advanced journey level case management services in child protective services, foster care, adoptions, adult protective services, and/or guardianships. DIVISION OF CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES (DCFS) Is recruiting for a Social Worker 3 position for the Adoption Unit in the Carson City Child Welfare office. This is a full-time position, and a Nevada Social Work license is a requirement for employment. Incumbents determine social service needs of clients, develop appropriate solutions and case plans, and provide ongoing case management services. A social worker for the Adoption Unit will be responsible to deliver strength-based, family-centered case management permanency services to families with a goal of adoption that promote the safety, well-being, and permanency of children to include Implementing plans of care; home visits; monitoring services; court report preparation, and record keeping. Ensure children have their medical, mental health and educational needs met. This position will also be responsible for reviewing subsidy files and negotiating subsidies with adoptive families.
