Provide proper care and observation of patient's skin to prevent breakdown of tissue over bony prominence. Policies: Adhere to the organization's documentation and care procedures and standards of personal and professional conduct. Operations: Attend in-service training and mandatory agency meetings. HARD & SOFT SKILLS: Compassionate communicator with a positive attitude. Understanding of the hospice philosophy, comfortable providing specialized care to the terminally ill and secure with the issues of death/dying. Patience is a virtue when working with patients, families, physicians, and coworkers. Attention to detail is critical, as is being observant and following directions. REQUIREMENTS: Meets the training requirements of the State and has successfully completed a state established or other training program that meets the State's requirements of a competency evaluation program, or state licensure program. One year of experience is preferred, preferably in Hospice care.
