Who we are looking for State Street Investment Management is looking for a highly skilled Senior Technical Business Analyst with deep expertise in Alternative Investments (private equity, private credit, real assets & Hedge Funds) and strong technical skills in platforms like eFront (FrontInvest, Insight), Vidrio, Argus, Burgiss, Dyanamo & Pfaroe. This role bridges business needs with technology solutions, driving system enhancements, integrations, and governance for OCIO and Alternatives operations. You will act as a product expert, lead technology initiatives, and ensure compliance while improving client experience and operational efficiency. The Senior Technical Business Analyst will become a product expert and help to ensure that our software products effectively aid our Alternative Investment/OCIO Managers with their workflows. The Senior Technical Business Analyst will participate in the full software development lifecycle and contribute as a member of a feature-focused product development team. They must be familiar with both financial and technical concepts, with a strong ability to deliver against specific requirement in a timely fashion on a project-by-project basis. The successful candidate will have strong technology and business acumen, build partnerships, foster close collaboration and work hand in hand with the business and technology teams. This position is primarily office-based with some flexibility. What you will be responsible for As the Alternative Investment/OCIO Senior Technical Business Analyst, you will: Lead and take ownership of configuration and integration efforts across Alternatives platforms including eFront, Vidrio, Burgiss, Argus, and Pfaroe, ensuring robust data mapping, API specifications, SAS scripting, and validation. * Build and manage a high-performing team, fostering accountability, technical excellence, and continuous improvement across Alternatives initiatives. * Gather and validate business requirements for Alternatives workflows such as commitments, capital calls/distributions, valuations, exposure analytics, and fee modeling. * Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications, driving clarity and execution across stakeholders. * Implement and oversee data governance standards, including data quality checks, lineage tracking, and compliance with identity/access controls (SSO/OIDC/SAML) and audit protocols. * Establish and nurture global stakeholder relationships, ensuring consistent engagement and alignment across business, product, and development teams. * Apply deep domain expertise in Alternatives workflows to support product development and strategic initiatives. * Provide hands-on leadership and technical guidance across a diverse toolset including FrontInvest, Aladdin, Vidrio, Qube, Argus, Burgiss Private Informant, and Dynamo. * Demonstrate strong project management capabilities and advanced proficiency in SQL and SAS scripting, ensuring scalable and efficient solution delivery. * Collaborate directly with customers and product management to gather requirements and shape feature specifications, participating in all phases of the software product lifecycle. * Partner with development teams to implement and refine features, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical feasibility. * Offer technical clarity and mentorship to other technology leads and teams, promoting cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing. * Work with documentation teams to ensure accurate and complete product materials. * Support implementation and client success, resolving escalated issues and ensuring seamless onboarding and adoption. * Actively participate in Agile development, including daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives, while driving team accountability and delivery.
