Essential Duties and Responsibilities
FACILITATOR OF STUDENT LEARNING: The teacher and student act as partners promoting the exchange of knowledge and experience. This process provides meaningful learning experiences enabling learners to develop their ability to solve problems, think critically and creatively, and communicate effectively while developing marketable technical skills. Part-time faculty accomplish these tasks by:
* Providing effective classroom or/and lab instruction according to the established guidelines
* Using appropriate learner -centered instructional methods for enhancement of teaching
* Preparing, administering, and grading examinations/quizzes/projects for the purpose of student learning assessment and feedback.
* Maintaining accurate records of student academic performance
* Responding to the students' questions or concerns related to the course content by being available for individual meetings with students
* Keeping current with the use of appropriate technology
* Connecting classroom instruction with the work place values and competencies
* Taking part in assessment of student learning process as needed
* Reporting of any inoperable or malfunctioning equipment to the Evening Office
* Maintaining a harmonious classroom environment in accordance with the College diversity and nondiscriminatory policies
Qualifications
WILD PROGRAM:
General Qualifications for all WILD Adjuncts:
* B.S. or M.S. in Wildlife, Forestry, Fisheries Management; Biology; or other Natural Resources Field from an accredited institution of higher education.
* Field Experience with Government Agency or NGO in Natural Resources
* Candidates with teaching experience will be giving highest consideration.
* Willingness to work in all outdoor conditions
* In addition, field experience is highly desirable.
General Education Faculty: A minimum of a master's degree in the discipline or a master's degree with a minimum of 18 semester/27 quarter graduate credit hours in the discipline is required. Evidence of professional development is desired.
Technical Faculty: In general, a minimum of a bachelor's degree, full-time employment for approximately three years, and evidence of professional development in the discipline or related area will be required. In circumstances deemed appropriate by the supervising dean and vice president for academic and student services, an associates degree and/or specialized certification along with appropriate work experience may be considered as the minimum requirement. In instances where there are specific programmatic accreditation and/or state licensure or certification requirements for faculty credentials, those will be followed.

Prior Wildlife Damage Control experience preferred but will train. 1+ year roofing and general residential construction or equivalent experience required.
Essential Functions/Duties & Responsibilities:
Coordinates and organizes job sites as directed by the manager in adherence of all company, state law and protocols.
Conducts trapping and all wildlife activities in a manner nothing less than humane and ethical.
Responsible for ensuring the service truck is fully equipped and supplied for each job site before leaving the office. Keeps the vehicle clean and organized at all times.
Responsible for workflow, record keeping, tools and vehicle maintenance.
Responsible for completing all jobs in a timely manner. Ensure that each completed job site is left in a clean manor.
Performs all the job tasks required to complete the work.
Responsible for driving company work vehicles at all times and maintaining an "A" safety score as defined by company.
Follows all company, label and state safety standards.
Collaborate with the office scheduler and manager by updating your progress with each job and informing of any delays or open time for fill in work as needed.
Ensures all paperwork and work orders in software are properly and timely updated and completed and accurate. Record quality pictures of all work performed (repairs, exclusion, traps and captures) in system.
Communicate to customers before and after the services and ensure their satisfaction of work performed.

Qualifications, Education and Experience:
Candidates with strong ethical hunting/trapping experience
Background in construction, such as but not limited to: roofing, siding, landscaping, restoration work, water proofing.
1+ years wildlife control experience preferred but willing to train.
Must have a proven track record of being dependable and on time.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be able to complete work assignments in a timely and professional manor. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Must be familiar with cell phones, tablets, apps. and technology in general.
Able to safely work on ladders up to 48'
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Highly organized
Good time management skills
Able to work independently to meet or exceed revenue goals
Special Requirements:
Must not have any past “criminal” wildlife violations or domestic animal abuse convictions. During employment wildlife tech must not have any major violation write-ups or Department of Agriculture issued violations.
Must pass a criminal history background investigation; however a conviction of a crime may not disqualify an individual from this position.
Valid North Carolina Drivers License with insurable driving record to daily operate a company vehicle for business travel as required.
Drug testing is required if hired.
