If you are being hired or transferring into a position where you will perform a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) safety-sensitive function, you are first required to undergo Pre-Employment drug testing for the presence of marijuana, cocaine, opiates, phencyclidine (PCP), and amphetamines, or a metabolite of those drugs.
* Mechanics in this position perform spares stores rework assignments such as repairs to damaged aircraft parts and assemblies.
* Work with and assist engineering to develop and redesign parts and assemblies from raw materials. These employees develop work methods and parts layout with minimal engineering definition. Perform Composite and Metal Bond repairs per Production Specifications and Post Production Engineering Data (Component Maintenance Manual, Structural Repair Manuals, etc).
* Use engineering drawings, Service Bulletins, PSDS process specifications, Repair drawings, Wiring diagrams, Vendor manuals, planning orders and verbal instructions to accomplish rework/repair.
* Ensure that changes made to parts and assemblies conform to FAA (PC 700) and FAR 145 standards when procedures and specifications are not clearly defined.
* Disassemble components/assemblies to access area to be repaired or reworked. Order tools, parts and raw material needed to accomplish rework/repair of parts and assemblies.
* Fabricate detail parts from raw stock to meet repair or modification requirements.

* Prepare, assemble and install tubing, standoffs, valves, regulators, compressors, and ducts using fasteners.
* Use precision measuring equipment to verify rework/repair meets specifications. Install, remove, replace, and/or re-route wires, wire bundles, and/or electrical assemblies.
* Perform functional tests on assemblies.
* Install pre-assembled plumbing systems such as hydraulic modules (e.g., smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, and air, water and fuel systems) Handle and dispose of hazardous materials in approved manner.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. " US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
