STEBA Biotech, in collaboration with the Weizmann Institute of Science (Israel), has developed a new Focal Vascular Occluding Agent (WST11) for certain types of localized cancers, upon focal light activation (specific laser devices were developed for the treatment). STEBA Biotech most advanced development of WST11 is TOOKAD Soluble for early stage prostate cancer patients with Phase III clinical trials over Europe and in USA planned for 2012. A completely new treatment approach that may change the paradigm in prostate cancer treatment options considering quality of life for patients as a major outcome. STEBA Biotech is committed to expand its clinical development program to other indications in oncology in targeting solid tumors in various organs.
