We are seeking an Equipment Operator to join our team.. The Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating mobile equipment to load/unload material to support sourcing, dismantling, and to facilitate the movement and processing of scrap materials; including on-site transportation. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
What You Will Do
Operate forklifts to dump scrap into roll-offs, trailers, or compactors according to material grades.
Load trailers to specified weights and replace full trailers from bays.
Drive trailers across scales and refuel trucks at local gas stations.
Conduct pre-operational inspections, fueling, and daily lubrication of equipment.
Complete shipping documents accurately and in a timely manner.
Maintain cleanliness of work areas and assist with sorting duties as assigned.
Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks on equipment.
Must be able to operate vehicles and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Qualifications
What We Look For
Must possess or obtain forklift license.
Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to solve problems independently.
Capability to perform basic preventive maintenance tasks on equipment.
Ability to perform housekeeping responsibilities such as shoveling and sweeping.
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
High school diploma or GED.

2-3 years of previous mobile equipment (crane, forklift, loader, tractors, or other farm or construction equipment)
Valid Driver's License
Must have Class A - Commercial Driver's License
Willing to obtain Class A - Commercial Driver's License. Training paid by company
NICE TO HAVES:
Previous knowledge of scrap materials handling.
Working knowledge of Word and Excel.
Schedule:
Typical Schedule Monday - Friday from 4:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Hours may vary as needed.

Safely operate a forklift after training and certification
Load and unload pallets of product to and from trailer
Safely place and store product in multi-tiered warehouse storage
Pick appropriate cases according to order using required technology
Properly manage warehouse inventory by using handheld scanners and Inventory Control Systems

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Heavy Equipment Operator to support operations involving the collection and transportation of materials from designated locations. This role involves operating motorized equipment, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring safe and efficient site practices. This is a full-time position with a consistent daytime schedule and occasional weekend or holiday rotation (not to exceed 40 hours per week).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Operate heavy trucks and equipment to collect and transport containers from designated sites.
Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, materials handled, and routes completed.
Conduct daily inspections and perform light maintenance on trucks and equipment.
Identify and report equipment breakdowns or service needs to supervisor and assist in repairs when necessary.
Communicate regularly with supervisor to receive instructions and report issues.
Follow safe driving practices and all applicable traffic laws.
Survey collection sites and report any operational or environmental issues.
Ensure that only authorized materials are collected and transported.
Check equipment daily for fluid levels, tire pressure, lights, and other safety components.
Complete maintenance logs and repair requests as needed.
Fuel vehicles and equipment and ensure they are kept clean, inside and out.
Skills & Qualifications
Understanding of safe public service and communication techniques.
Ability to operate, maintain, and inspect heavy motorized equipment.
Capable of performing physically demanding work in various weather conditions.
Familiarity with identifying authorized vs. prohibited materials.
Ability to work independently and troubleshoot daily operational issues.
Strong attention to safety and regulatory compliance.
Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with others.
Education & Experience
Less than high school diploma or GED accepted.
Prior experience operating heavy equipment preferred.
Equivalent combination of experience and training will be considered.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
Regular movement including climbing, pushing/pulling, bending, kneeling, and crawling.
Exposure to outdoor elements, mechanical vibrations, and potentially hazardous materials.
Must be able to operate vehicles, perform visual inspections, and complete written reports.
Special Requirements
Valid Driver's License required.
Must have a Class A or B CDL or be willing to get one within 6 months
