Job Description
As a Reversing Mill Operator at Steel Technologies, you will plan machines to mill steel, align parts and pieces for production equipment, set equipment controls, and monitors equipment. It's important for you to be detailed and consistent in order to ensure only the best result for our customers. We rely on this position to continuously meet quality and customers standards.
How you'll contribute to our company:
Make mill set-up including work roll changes to ensure compliance with production instructions
Reconcile coil identity to production and load coil
Set-up Automatic Gauge Control (AGC) system
Thread coil through mill, cropping non-compliance material
Assure material compliance with all order instructions
Document all inspection data
Monitor coil for shape, finish, gauge (using AGC) running at maximum line speed to assure with order compliance
Check gauge and surface when coil is finished
Band/secure coil and identify coil in compliance with production
Attach histogram to production as required from AGC
Remove finished coil from recoiler
Organize complete production documentation at order end and record production information, ensure accuracy
Remove scrap from machine
Clean machine and entire area

Pick and pack orders of signs & sign supplies in preparation for shipping to customers.
Load and unload delivery trucks by hand as well as a forklift.

Accurately measure and cut custom size product pieces for customers using panel saw and/or roll slitter.

Assist couriers and delivery drivers' load vehicle, verify load for accuracy, and work to maximize delivery efficiency.
Maintain equipment, trucks, and warehouse (e.g., cleaning/sweeping warehouse, maintenance, special projects).
Qualifications
1+ years of warehouse experience
Knowledge of WMS, printing ticket orders, MS Office Suite, email, internet navigation.
Ability to compete and pass a criminal background screening.
Physical Demands
Requires the ability to lift, push, pull and carry tools and warehouse materials weighing 70+ pounds on a frequent basis.

Notify the sales team of damaged parts: If damaged parts are found, the person in this role must communicate with the sales team to inform them of the damage. This includes identifying the part and providing details on the damage.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment: This role involves keeping the yard vehicle clean and organized, as well as following all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
Operating heavy equipment: depending on the site's policies, part pullers may need to operate heavy equipment to assist in repositioning vehicles to gain access to pull parts.

Position Overview
As a key member of the production team, this role ensures continuous workflow by maintaining a steady supply of materials to the production line. The individual in this position collaborates closely with team members and leverages their knowledge to support others, contributing to overall efficiency and operational success.
Operate all warehouse equipment required to transfer finished goods and other products to the appropriate areas. All warehouse equipment includes, but is not limited to, forklift, clamp truck.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Load and unload trucks efficiently in accordance with department standards
Stock all goods in a safe and stable manner
Communicate pertinent information to the relief at shift change
Follow all safety policies and procedures
Maintain work area in an organized, safe, and clean manner. Knowledge of 6s is a plus
Know locations and how to operate emergency stop buttons and fire extinguishers
Complete forklift checklist
Monitor and record all products returned/received
Check the accuracy of finished product count on pallets, product ID, ensure all pallets only have one Port Ticket on them when removing from lines, and accurately complete all required paperwork
Fill forklift propane tank at the end of the shift
Accurate Cycle counts as designated by the Team Leaders
Effective organization and staging of materials to support the accuracy of inventories
Knowledge of LOTO procedures is a plus
Qualifications
Minimum of one year of recent forklift experience preferred
Minimum of one year sit-down experience required
Clamp attachment operation is a plus
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Basic knowledge of mathematics
Ability to communicate orally and in writing (English required)

**Position Overview**
As a key member of the production team, this role ensures continuous workflow by maintaining a steady supply of materials to the production line. The individual in this position collaborates closely with team members and leverages their knowledge to support others, contributing to overall efficiency and operational success.
Operate all warehouse equipment required to transfer finished goods and other products to the appropriate areas. All warehouse equipment includes, but is not limited to, forklift, clamp truck.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Load and unload trucks efficiently in accordance with department standards
+ Stock all goods in a safe and stable manner
+ Communicate pertinent information to the relief at shift change
+ Follow all safety policies and procedures
+ Maintain work area in an organized, safe, and clean manner. Knowledge of 6s is a plus
+ Know locations and how to operate emergency stop buttons and fire extinguishers
+ Complete forklift checklist
+ Monitor and record all products returned/received
+ Check the accuracy of finished product count on pallets, product ID, ensure all pallets only have one Port Ticket on them when removing from lines, and accurately complete all required paperwork
+ Fill forklift propane tank at the end of the shift
+ Accurate Cycle counts as designated by the Team Leaders
+ Effective organization and staging of materials to support the accuracy of inventories
+ Knowledge of LOTO procedures is a plus
**Qualifications**
+ Minimum of one year of recent forklift experience preferred
+ Minimum of one year sit-down experience required
+ Clamp attachment operation is a plus
+ Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
+ Basic knowledge of mathematics
+ Ability to communicate orally and in writing (English required)
+ Must be self-directed and have the ability to work with little supervision
+ Will be required to be certified in Lockout/Tag Out and Forklift Operation upon assignment
**Skills and Competencies**
+ Mathematical Skills: Ability to do simple math equations (add, subtract, multiply, divide, and percentages) and able to use a calculator
+ Mechanical Skills: Basic knowledge of machinery or process required. May be required to stop the machine, shut off glue lines, and clear jammed clamshells
+ Communication Skills: Must be able to read, write & understand basic English and/or Spanish. Able to communicate effectively, positively interact with coworkers and management, and deal effectively & professionally under pressure
+ Computer Skills: Ability to learn and use internal programs such as Insight, Maintenance Connection, etc.
**Education Requirements**
+ Grade 10 or equivalent education; up to and including 1 year of related training or experience
+ Must obtain a Pactiv Lift Truck License
+ Must obtain a valid State Driver's License
+ Must not have any active step-two write-ups
+ Must have less than 4 attendance points
**Physical Requirements**
+ Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
+ Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
+ Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

Job Summary: A Material Handler/Driver is responsible for coordinating and processing transfer shipments. A Material Handler should be able to multitask and be motivated to complete tasks independently or in a team setting. A valid driver's license with an approved motor vehicle DMV report is required and have no history of drug or alcohol abuse. Responsibilities:
Fulfilling transfer orders from other branches and keeping track of materials and inventory
Load transfer shipments at the appropriate scheduled times
Process and stage all tagged material to be placed in designated areas
Complete cycle count for assigned areas
Perform daily housekeeping practices for assigned work areas
Assist in all warehouse or delivery duties on an as-needed basis
Perform all other duties as assigned by the leadership team or senior management
