Supervisory Responsibilities: No supervisory responsibilities at this level Duties/Responsibilities: Shake out parts Positions or tightens braces, jacks and clamps Bolt parts in position for welding or bolting Uses transit to locate reference points Demonstrate the proper use of all personal protective equipment Identify proper rigging equipment Know and properly use crane signals Operate cut-off saw Operate different types of man lifts in a safe manner Operate Sawz-all Begin learning to rig structural member for lift Begin learning to complete structural detailing Have an understanding of Skyweb strapping Operate torch for straight and bevel cuts Begin learning to read pre-engineered erection drawings Reasonable expectation to help train under-skilled coworkers Other duties and tasks as assigned by a superintendent/supervisor/crew leader Required Skills/Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
