It went public. Ruined it for many, MANY families. Many people lost homes, etc because they decided to go public with stock shares. It was truly, truly sad. Most well-known failure in the history of Grand Rapids.

Great company culture with great upper management.

Change can be hard to come by and slow in larger companies, and this has been especially true at Steelcase.
