Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our school-based therapy team. Under the supervision of a licensed SLP, the SLPA will help implement individualized treatment plans, provide direct therapy services, and support students in developing their communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out treatment plans designed by the supervising SLP.
* Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
* Collect and record student progress data.
* Collaborate with teachers, parents, and the therapy team to reinforce goals in the classroom environment.
* Prepare and organize therapy materials and activities.
* Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and district regulations under the direction of the supervising SLP.
Qualifications
* Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or Bachelor's in Communication Sciences and Disorders (or related field).
* Active SLPA license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain before start date).
* School-based or pediatric experience preferred, not required.
* Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
* A passion for working with children and supporting their educational success.
