Bag and palletize compost for distribution, ensuring correct weight and labeling of each bag. Spray and control weeds around the compost field using approved herbicides and application equipment, following safety guidelines and application schedules. Mow and maintain vegetation around the compost site using mowers and trimmers to promote site safety and cleanliness. Load bulk compost and palletized product onto trucks using skid steers, loaders, or forklifts as required. Assist with compost site upkeep, including cleaning work areas, removing debris, and ensuring pathways and loading zones remain clear. Follow all safety and environmental regulations, including proper use of PPE, handling of chemicals, and equipment operation procedures. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding work progress, maintenance needs, or safety concerns. Perform physical labor in varying outdoor conditions, including lifting, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods. Operates various tools, machinery, and equipment for composting methods. Qualifications/Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Successful completion of a state-approved Medical Assistant program. Employer may consider applicants based on extensive experience (unless required by state law). Work Environment and Physical Requirements: Medical office, procedure/exam room and laboratory environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, bloodborne pathogens, biohazards or toxic substances.
