Duties and Responsibilities

Tracking and interpreting signs of illegal entry

Qualifications
GL-9: One year of specialized experience at the next lower level, including:
Searching detained persons, vehicles, and surroundings
Apprehending or restraining suspects in violation of law
Using firearms, writing reports, serving warrants, and gathering case evidence
GS-11: One year of specialized experience at the next lower grade, including:
Using intelligence to monitor criminal threats and operations
Leading fraud or contraband investigations
Apprehending violators using surveillance and detection tech

The Opportunity:
The department of Physics and Astronomy invites applications for an Instruction & Classroom Support Technician 2. In this role, you will provide instructional support for lab courses and lecture demonstrations. Your duties include working with the Director of Foundational Studies to prepare and setup equipment and materials for lab courses and working with faculty instructors for lecture demonstrations.
In this position, you will be making purchase requests to ensure materials and equipment are sufficiently stocked and prepared ahead of labs and demonstrations. Assist the department faculty and staff with and oversees daily space and inventory management. Provide materials and support for the Physics and Astronomy Club and community outreach activities. This position is also responsible for participating on the department safety committee, maintaining lab safety procedures and manuals, and for providing safety trainings as needed.

This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
Monthly Salary: $3,925 to $5,271 | Range 44 | Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
