Expectations:
Responsible for cleaning, decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, packaging and sterilizing all instruments and equipment from all areas of the facility as well as the operation and care of same equipment and instruments. Able to setup patient care carts and maintain patient care equipment. Knowledge of instrument processing techniques, including but not limited to cleaning, decontamination, assembly and sterilization. Ability to work, multi-task and prioritize in a stressful environment.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or GED equivalency.
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
Minimum of two years' experience with surgical instrumentation required.
Minimum two years prior central service experience or Surgical Technology experience required.
Completion of a SterileProcessing Program or Surgical Technology Program required.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Required:
Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) issued by Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) or current Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) issued by Healthcare SterileProcessing Association (HSPA).
SKILLS:
Basic computer skills. Surgical instrumentation knowledge, ability to apply standard blood and body fluid precautions. Able to demonstrate and perform steam, low temperature sterilization. Performs essential functions on CSP equipment and mechanical devices are tested and validated to meet regulatory requirements required.

Communicates any issues that arise with instrument preparation to the SterileProcessingSupervisor or Manager.
Sterilization:
Sterilizes instruments and surgical trays by following prescribed policies and procedures.
Challenges the sterilizationprocess by using internal, external and biological monitoring systems appropriately.
Monitors, reads, documents, and interprets all parameters for all types of sterilizers to insure proper function and patient safety.
Picks surgical case carts by following established Surgeon Preference Cards or Procedural Pick list / requisition.
Case Carts & Supplies:
Assembles and distributes case carts per department policy.

Monitors biological and chemical wash solution to ensure quality and consistency for decontamination of instruments and medical equipment.
Sorts mismatched sets of instruments, trays, and medical equipment and makes them available to sterileprocessing customers in a timely manner.
Restocks, labels, and maintains inventory, submits requisitions, collects, and distributes instruments, trays, crash carts, and facility medical equipment. Performs environmental maintenance duties and assists in maintaining inventory levels in sterileprocessing, the operating room, and in equipment storage areas.
Verifies that equipment functions properly, requisitions for equipment maintenance, repair, or replacement, and removes defective equipment.
Actively engages in caring behaviors, taking conscious ownership for work and takes proactive, deliberate, and thoughtful action regarding work activities.
Follows established policies and procedures in the performance of all work activities in compliance with Departmental and regulatory agency.

The Chemical Delivery Technician is responsible for the overall chemical delivery and application. This includes delivery and set up of chemicals at customer locations, maintaining proper chemical application, maintaining chemical delivery systems, troubleshooting chemical issues. Follow daily route plan timely. Safely drive most efficient route. Communicate with Supervisor when unable to do so.
Collaborate with Service team with goal of optimal operations in mind.
Collects money from customers on COD orders and record transaction on customer receipt.
Maintains good housekeeping of our supplies in the customer's chemical area.
Entry of car counts and inventory into WaMoS.
Monitor and analyze chemical delivery systems.
Chemical installation, maintenance and consumption monitoring of each account.
Manages warehouse ordering, receiving and deliveries to customer.
Responsible for inventory shortages and careful handling of product.
Manage logistics of chemical ordering and delivery to the market.
Collaborate with local Service Technicians to an assigned chemical service protocol
Has the ability to sell car wash owners a higher upgrade chemical for their wash.
Call on potential customer accounts.
May be called from time to time to go to another direct service area to assist.
Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and warehouse.
Must be able to develop good relationship with the customer base and advise them of new chemicals or upgrades that would help improve their operation
Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations to include but not limited to:
Maintain any needed truck log according to State and Federal Regulations
Conducts daily inspections on all facets of the vehicle required by the Department of Transportation
Make sure load is properly secured and braced while all hazardous materials are properly segregated.
