What You Need to Be Successful

* 1 year of SPD or relatable experience (such as surgical or GI technician experience) and CRCST/CSPDT,or CST certification is required OR CER/CFER if dedicated assignment in Endo processing
* OR 2 years of SPD or relatable experience (such as surgical or GI technician experience), obtaining within 12 months of hire CRCST/CSPDT or CST certification is required OR CER/CFER if dedicated assignment in Endo processing
* Must maintain certification by completing 12 Continuing Education Credit Hours annually

* Applies principles of asepsis to ensure the prevention of infection and safety of patients and employees
* Prepares case carts according to procedure and preference cards. Reviews surgical schedule and assists clinical coordinator with preparation for future cases

WHAT DOES YOUR DAY ENTAIL?
This Dental Sterilization Technician position follows a structured weekly schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7:30 am to 11:30 am and 12:30 pm to approximately 5:00 pm, Tuesday from 8:30 am to 11:30 am and 12:30 pm to approximately 6:00 pm, and the third Friday of each month in the morning.
As a Dental Sterilization Technician, you will maintain the sterilization area to established standards and perform regular maintenance on autoclaves. You will break down and set up treatment rooms while cleaning and sterilizing instruments to ensure a safe and efficient environment for patient care. Each day will involve staying organized, following precise protocols, and taking responsibility for the cleanliness and readiness of the dental instruments and rooms, supporting the team in delivering quality care.
