You would work on deploying equipment and installing new hardware and software. You would also work with our computers, printers, POS Systems, scales, and Network Servers. The successful individual will provide IT Technical Support to our Safeway/Tom Thumb retail grocery stores primarily in and around Denver Metro and surrounding areas. In addition, the successful person will be tasked with troubleshooting and configuring various pieces of IT hardware unique to retail, as well as conducting break-fix repair on our computers, printers, POS Systems, scales, and Network Servers. In this role you will have the opportunity to work on different projects and learn new technologies. In addition, you will have the opportunity to learn all facets of store support, network with fellow technicians and support store directors to run our best-in-class retail grocery stores. The position will be based in or around the East Denver Metro area. Main responsibilities: Support standard hardware platforms and systems installed throughout Safeway. Repair all approved standard technology hardware including PC/Server hardware, Network hardware, RF hardware, and printers. Provide complete recoverability of systems and applications. Troubleshoot resolution. Installation of new hardware and software. Provide customers with IT support; meet goals for service level agreements. Provide network and remote connectivity (hardware/software) support. Maintain equipment inventory controls and policies. Work with Support Center (STSC) on assignment of problems, support issues and concerns with computer systems. Interface with all Corporate IT groups for on-site support and technology resolutions. Must have a good, safe driving record. Must have a reliable vehicle for this position. Physical Environment: Work may be performed in a temperature-controlled environment. Must sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time. May spend long periods of time at a desk or computer terminal. Will use keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment during normal workday. Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties. Workday is fast paced; some evening and weekend work may be required. What You Can Expect: Cleans and disinfects equipment requiring decontamination or sterilization. Responsible for preparing supplies and equipment for use during patient procedures. Prepares case carts for current and next day schedule. Decontaminates, preps, packages and sterilizes clinical/surgical supplies for patient care areas, including linens. Ensures instruments and supplies are available as needed for patient care. Performs rounds to retrieve instruments, equipment and supplies for reprocessing. Maintains safe and clean work environment. Transports carts to and from designated departments/areas. Maintains instrument and inventory in all areas. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
