Job Summary:

Sterile Processing Technician Certified are multi-skilled personnel who are responsible for all duties related to the decontamination, cleaning and sterilization of general and specialty surgical instruments, power equipment and endoscopes. Demonstrate working knowledge of sterilization process and techniques involving both steam and chemical means. This includes appropriate documentation, storage, and transportation. Must have a thorough understanding of the sterilizer mechanical and chemical indicators, as well as the proper use and interpretation of the biological monitoring system.
Effectively enters, modifies, and searches for relevant information in the instrument tracking system. Demonstrates knowledge of surgical case preparation. Correctly identifies and retrieves pertinent instruments and supplies for scheduled cases or upon request.
Incorporates infection control guidelines while transferring, storing, and transporting sterile packages.
Interacts with external customers, such as vendors and surgical reps for the processing of loaner trays and receipt of CEU's
Follows and promotes industry standards and best practices, as supported by AAMI and AORN.

What Depot Operations contributes to Velocare
Velocare relies on small-format facilities to operate our distributed supply chain solution and this role is responsible for performing and controlling a combination of manual and automated actions necessary for receiving, storage, and delivery of products to the customer location. Responsibilities
* Deliver medical equipment using company transit van (non-CDL) to hospital customer locations (primarily the home of the hospital patient), and notify delivery status.
* Show empathy and compassion for customers/patients in every situation.
* Load and unload packages and products from vehicles to the home.
* Perform minor technical installation and de-installation in the home, and will troubleshoot technology in the home as the customer requires.
* Maintain vehicles in proper working condition, proper cleanliness, minor maintenance tasks, and may perform minor roadside repairs.
* Utilize handheld tablets for navigation and reporting status changes and inventory updates.
* Will hold self and associates accountable for conducting work in a safe manner, and assist in ensuring that depot personnel have safe, efficient equipment and vehicles to perform delivery functions and provide support for a culture that strives toward continuous improvement in operations and in Environmental, Health and Safety.
* Ensure quality service is provided to the customers and ensure prompt follow-through on customer correspondence, complaints and inquiries related to shipment of medical products and stock-on-hand.
* Conduct equipment cleaning procedures at the Depot as volume demands require on various durable medical equipment.
* Will satisfactorily complete training and be responsible for Cardinal Health compliance and regulations concerning OSHA, DEA, FDA, State and local authorities.
* Support and contribute in the development and implementation of innovative modifications to processes in order to improve the quality of service to our customers.
* Will comply with vaccinations and background checks as required by the hospital customer.
Qualifications
* High school diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred
* Must hold a valid driver's license and have a good driving record
* Prior delivery driving experience a plus
* Ability to lift containers weighing up to 75 pounds
* Comfortable driving in all weather conditions during day or night hours
* Ability to sit, stand, be mobile and operate a vehicle for extended periods of time
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Flexibility to work various shifts or overtime as needed
* Ability to use computers and tablets, and conduct minor technology installation and troubleshooting
* Healthcare experience beneficial

Job Description
The role of Delivery Technician at VLS is an essential part of the team. This is a full-time position performing onsite and in-shop activities. These activities include, but are not limited to project installation, rental and production, rigging, and service. A successful candidate will be a motivated individual who has the technical skills to complete tasks on time, on budget, and is interested in providing best-in-class customer service to VLS customers.
Essential Functions
Install equipment in both construction and finished environments.
Hang and focus theatrical lighting fixtures and install related lighting equipment.
Provide occasional training to customers on installed systems.
Assist the rigging department with dead-hung pipes, theatrical curtains, and track installations.
Support the service department with network, DMX, and other low-voltage terminations, along with systems testing and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with the rental department on production needs, as well as rental shop work, and occasional deliveries/pick-ups.
Prepare and stage equipment for large-scale national projects and productions.
Review and update project documentation as required.
Direct onsite crews in the safe and proper installation of equipment.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of VLS installations and work areas.
Operate a 26' truck for long travel distances.
Other Functions
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education
Degree in Technical Theatre or related field preferred; equivalent experience in theatrical lighting and rigging will be considered.
Proficiency with theatrical power systems, controls, and fixtures is required.
Experience using AutoCAD or Vectorworks software is preferred.
Strong customer service skills with a professional appearance and demeanor; ability to interact effectively with clients is essential.
Experience operating scissor lifts, articulated lifts, and straight boom lifts is required.
Skilled in diagnosing and repairing theatrical equipment or willing and able to learn gear repair.
ETCP Electrician Certification preferred; must obtain certification within 12 months of hire if not already held.
Travel Requirements
This position requires travel within the continental United States. Trips can range from single day to multiple weeklong trips.

Physical Demands/Work Environment
This position requires regular standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders, and lifting equipment, as well as the ability to work comfortably at heights using lifts and ladders.
