Joining our Specialty Department, the Certified Sterilization Technician will join our Bronx Federally Qualified Health Center. The Sterilization Tech will maintain quality assurance standards, ensure approved infection control, and uphold specialty department policy and procedures. The CST will be essential to the patient flow and compliance for our Podiatry, ENT, Derm, and other specialties. This is an onsite full-time role, Monday through Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. They process instruments, monitor sterilizers and assist with turning over and setting up treatment rooms; some also help expose digital images, escort patients and record exam notes. General duties include turning on and maintaining equipment, disinfecting operatories, restocking supplies and assisting the front office. Responsibilities Include Decontaminating, packaging and sterilizing instruments using appropriate protocols and monitoring biological and chemical indicators. Setting up and turning over operatories between patients, ensuring that all surfaces are disinfected and properly stocked.
