Summary:
A sterileprocessingtechnician plays a vital role in ensuring patient safety by sterilizing, assembling, and maintaining surgical and medical equipment in compliance with established infection control standards. This role also includes inventory management, maintaining equipment, and collaborating with clinical teams to ensure efficient operations and timely availability of supplies.
Essential Work Functions:
* Receive and process used surgical instruments and equipment components, ensuring proper handling and transport between designated cleaning or sterilization areas and procedure rooms
* Sort and distribute equipment to appropriate areas for cleaning/sterilization and disassembly, verifying that instruments sets are functional and complete
* Maintain and monitor inventory levels of supplies and equipment. Replenish and deliver sterile trays, instruments, and supplies to various departments in a timely fashion
* Foster effective communication with clinical staff and other departments to ensure seamless coordination of sterilizationprocesses and equipment availability
* Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
* Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice

JOB SUMMARY
The Delivery Technician is responsible for delivering durable medical equipment to Apria patients in the home.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Pulls, packs, delivers and picks up medications, supplies and basic equipment.
May instruct patients on basic use of respiratory therapy equipment, durable medical equipment, oxygen equipment, and other equipment/services approved by state licensure limitations.
Loads and unloads durable medical and infusion equipment onto delivery vehicle.
Responds to emergency delivery calls as needed during regular business hours and on an on-call basis.
Completes necessary paperwork including daily delivery logs, pick-up and delivery forms and vehicle maintenance logs. Distributes paperwork to appropriate personnel.
Maintains supply component of patient profiles.

Schedule: Mon-Fri plus on-call rotation
Essential Job Functions:
Be knowledgeable of and responsible for the current Quipt policies and procedures that apply to this position.
Responsible for setting up medical equipment in the patient's home in a professional, safe and timely manner.
Complete appropriate paperwork for the setup
Teach the patient about the safe and proper use of the medical equipment.
Instruct the patient on the safe and proper use of disposable supplies.
Instruct the patient on appropriate cleaning and maintenance of the equipment

A qualified individual holding certification in CSR with administrative accountability to designated service area. Directs, supervises and assist with the daily work load in the CSR, instrument processing and decontamination of surgical instrumentation and equipment.

Assists in visual inspection, assembly and wrapping of sterile instruments prior to sterilization.
Assists with the care and maintenance of equipment and instrumentation.
