+ Selects appropriate materials and sterilization packaging for each instrument set, ensuring proper wrapping for aseptic technique. Other duties as assigned.
+ Ensures sterility indicators and lot stickers are present on all instrument sets and packages.
+ Operates complex sterilization equipment, selecting the correct method of sterilization based on manufacturer instructions.
+ Reviews and signs all sterilizer recording charts to verify proper sterilization parameters before releasing items for clinical use.
+ Monitors sterilizer printouts, maintains records, and documents all requirements in appropriate log books or computer systems.

What You'll Do
As a SterileProcessing Tech 1, you will directly contribute to LifeLink's life-saving mission.
Under direct supervision, following established standards and procedures perform routine duties necessary for the proper function of the Central Service department. General responsibilities include, but are not limited to, cleaning, wrapping, sterilization, storage and distribution of instruments and/or supplies utilized by the Procurement and Processing department.
Key Responsibilities:
To assist with handling and set up equipment and supplies to be processed by Central Services.
Maintaining inventory par levels for Central Services in order to properly supply Processing and Procurement department needs.
Maintain and fill solution carts as needed.
Receive deliveries and place supplies in proper locations within Central Services as necessary.
Attend continuing education courses to retain certification as it relates to the Central Service Department.
Receive, clean and decontaminate surgical instruments and/or equipment as necessary.
Perform daily monitoring and maintenance of sterilization equipment.
Sterilize instruments, equipment, linen and supplies using steam sterilizers. Load the sterilizers appropriately.
Complete the appropriate manual documentation and electronic records prior to the sterilizationprocess.
Perform Quality Control for the sterilizers to verify that all requirements for sterilization have been met.
Stocks case carts to ensure all items are accounted for and available for Processing.

Work requires the ability to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines.

Work requires the mental ability to prepare the documentation necessary to conform to the standards outlined in SOP policy, AAMI and AATB standards, OSHA requirements and all other relative agencies.

Working Conditions:
Work requires extended hours during peak processing and or procurement periods. Working environment temperatures may vary from 68 degrees F to 80 degrees F. Hazardous conditions include, but are not limited to, the exposure to blood and/or body fluids from potentially infected donors and the potential of obtaining cuts and or punctures to skin from sharp instruments.

Job Summary
The Lead SterileProcessingTechnician assists supervisors in the operations within the SterileProcessing Department of the Hospital. The SterileProcessing Lead Technician serves as a resource staff and assure policies and procedures are followed. Under general supervision of SterileProcessing Supervisor and in accordance with established policies, procedures and standards, the SterileProcessingTechnician is responsible for maintaining, and distributing surgical instruments and medical equipment for Surgical Services and Ancillary Departments. This includes working in conjunction with the customer staff to provide timely sterile products, trays, and case carts where applicable. The SterileProcessingTechnician maintains consistency and continuous product flow between the OR and SterileProcessing while practicing above average customer service. JOB SUMMARY
The Delivery Technician is responsible for delivering durable medical equipment to Apria patients in the home.
The anticipated hourly range for this position is $17.64 - $18.86 USD hourly. The actual compensation offered may vary based on job-related factors such as experience, skills, education, and location.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Pulls, packs, delivers and picks up medications, supplies and basic equipment.
May instruct patients on basic use of respiratory therapy equipment, durable medical equipment, oxygen equipment, and other equipment/services approved by state licensure limitations.
Loads and unloads durable medical and infusion equipment onto delivery vehicle.
Responds to emergency delivery calls as needed during regular business hours and on an on-call basis.
Completes necessary paperwork including daily delivery logs, pick-up and delivery forms and vehicle maintenance logs. Distributes paperwork to appropriate personnel.
Maintains supply component of patient profiles.
Notify supervisor if any one of the following items is discovered in the patient's home:
a) Physical abuse of any family member
b) Home environment is unsafe for the care ordered, such as unsanitary conditions or insufficient food for children
c) Animals in the home that cause unsanitary conditions
May clean and assist with the repair of equipment.

Department Operating Room Assists perioperative nurses and anesthesia care providers with patient care and performs delegated patient care procedures in Surgical Services. Checks and restocks supplies; move medical equipment; may prepare equipment for use; and cleans and returns equipment to correct storage locations after use. Performs between case/end-of-case cleaning in the procedure rooms; performs anesthesia turnovers between patients and at end of schedule; and assists in maintaining a clean, safe environment.
Day to day job responsibilites:
The OR Techs are responsible for setting up and turning over procedure rooms. During each turnover, they remove trash and soiled items from the room, wipe down all equipment and supplies, and set the room back up for the following procedure. They are responsible for moving and setting up the equipment needed for each case. The OR Techs are also responsible for stocking and setting up the gas machines and anesthesia area. When the patient gets to the room, OR Techs help transfer and position the patient. Depending on the procedure, they may need to "scrub in" wearing a sterile gown and gloves to help prep the patient for surgery, such as holding a broken leg while the RN and CST prep it for surgery. The OR Techs help with patient pick-up and transport as well. When a trauma patient needs to come to the OR from ECC, the OR tech help with the transport. They also assist the PA and CRNA transport open heart patients to CVICU. We also train them to use various equipment during a procedure. For instance, they may be assigned to a room with a Hana Table (surgical table) and help the surgeon move/manipulate the leg during a hip replacement procedure. OR Techs also run specimens to the lab/pathology and pick up units of blood and platelets needed during the day.
