Under general supervision, the Certified Sterile Processing Technician performs a full range of duties related to the sterile processing function for an acute care facility, inpatient, or outpatient clinic facility. The current vacancies are Extra-Help-Part-Time positions. The ideal candidate will have: * At least 2 years of experience working as a Sterile Processing Technician in a hospital setting. * Experience in decontaminating, reprocessing, documenting, and delivering endoscopes is highly desired. The work location will be at the San Mateo Medical Center, 222 W 39th Ave, San Mateo, CA 94403. NOTE: This is an extra-help, at-will assignment, paid on an hourly basis. Extra-help hours are dependent on the business needs of the department and therefore work hours may vary from week to week. Extra help employees shall not exceed 1,040 hours of work per fiscal year.     Job Description Responsible for rendering professional care to patients undergoing surgical procedures within the Center, in accordance with established procedures. Functions cooperatively with physicians and team members exhibiting teamwork characteristics. May be responsible for ensuring proper care and use of instruments and equipment. May transport patients to and from procedure room. Assists with cleanliness of procedure room area and assists with room turnover. Starting at $24/hr., commensurate with experience.
