Key Responsibilities Clean, decontaminate, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment using autoclaves and other sterilization methods. Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and damage; report or replace defective items. Assemble instrument trays and surgical sets according to procedural requirements. Maintain accurate inventory of sterile and non-sterile supplies. Adhere to infection prevention and control protocols and regulatory standards Monitor sterilization indicators and document sterilization cycles and loads. Handle and store sterile items in compliance with hospital policies. Collaborate with surgical and nursing staff to meet surgical case needs and turnaround times. Participate in departmental quality assurance and continuing education programs. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Certification: CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) through HSPA or CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) through CBSPD preferred. Experience: Minimum 2 year of recent sterile processing experience in a hospital or surgical center preferred. Skills: Knowledge of sterilization techniques, infection control, and surgical instrumentation. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.     Job Title: Sterile Processing TechnicianJob Description We are seeking a skilled Sterile Processing Technician with experience in Scope Processing using Medivator AER and Olympus OER. Join our team to ensure the highest standards of instrument sterilization and performance. Responsibilities * Perform sterile processing duties according to lead technicians' instructions. * Reprocess and assemble specialized instruments and equipment, including washing and preparing them for sterilization. * Operate specialized washers and sterilizers following designated procedures. * Maintain instruments to ensure high performance during surgical procedures. * Inspect and test performance of specialized instruments and equipment. * Lubricate items in accordance with designated cleaning and preparation instructions. * Document required information and maintain records. * Set up case carts for surgical procedures. * Ensure correct inventory and restock equipment and supplies as needed. * Assist with preparation of equipment, instruments, and supplies. * Operate and troubleshoot equipment used for job functions, seeking assistance as needed. * Report hazardous conditions, malfunctioning equipment, accidents, or incidents to the immediate supervisor. * Participate in performance improvement activities and meetings as assigned. * Engage in training, educational activities, and staff meetings. * Assist with the orientation and training of other personnel. Essential Skills * Experience in Scope Processing using Medivator AER and Olympus OER. * Decontamination experience - MUST HAVE. * Central Service Technician Certification. * High School Diploma or GED. Additional Skills & Qualifications * 2+ years of experience in sterile processing. * Experience in scope processing and decontamination. Work Environment The position offers a PM shift starting at 3pm, Monday through Friday, with availability on Saturday and Sunday. The team works rotating weekends (every other weekend).
