Will perform second checks of MST instrument set validation, for that tour of duty or day, per VA Directive. * Assigns/monitors the Medical Supply Technicians as they complete, document, and maintain records for out-of-date monitors, cleaning schedules, nonbiological implants monitors, verify sterilization monitors for SPS, etc. * Assist with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) enforcement, management and review, and provide on spot checks and education to staff as needed. * Performs all other duties as assigned. The anticipated hourly range for this position is $17.64 - $18.86 USD hourly. The actual compensation offered may vary based on job-related factors such as experience, skills, education, and location. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Pulls, packs, delivers and picks up medications, supplies and basic equipment. May instruct patients on basic use of respiratory therapy equipment, durable medical equipment, oxygen equipment, and other equipment/services approved by state licensure limitations. Loads and unloads durable medical and infusion equipment onto delivery vehicle. Responds to emergency delivery calls as needed during regular business hours and on an on-call basis. Completes necessary paperwork including daily delivery logs, pick-up and delivery forms and vehicle maintenance logs. Distributes paperwork to appropriate personnel. Maintains supply component of patient profiles. Notify supervisor if any one of the following items is discovered in the patient's home: a) Physical abuse of any family member b) Home environment is unsafe for the care ordered, such as unsanitary conditions or insufficient food for children c) Animals in the home that cause unsanitary conditions May clean and assist with the repair of equipment. Perform routine vehicle maintenance including the checking of gasoline, oil fluids, tire pressure and brakes. Report malfunctions to supervisor. Performs other duties as required. They inspect the medical equipment to determine whether it is operating correctly and to ensure that the items were reassembled correctly after cleaning. * Preparation/Sterilization: Preparation involves all duties required to assemble, package, wrap, and sterilize the medical supply items. When preparing instruments for sterilization, manufacturing instructions must be followed at all times. The items are packaged individually (e.g. scissors, tubing, gauze) or are assembled into trays and sets. Frequently, some items are packaged both individually and as part of a tray or set. Tests of the condition of the supply items are also required such as scissors for smooth and easy opening.
