* Maintains adequate supply levels both in the assigned work areas as well as the department.
* Demonstrates competency in the operation of decontamination equipment according to the manufacturer's recommendation. Demonstrates knowledge in the proper disinfections, cleaning and inspection of instruments and equipment in the decontamination area.
* Demonstrates competency in the operation of steam sterilizers, Sterrad (gas plasma) sterilizer, Eto sterilizers and Steris (par acidic) sterilizers.
* Demonstrates competency in biological testing of the steam sterilizers, Sterrad (gas plasma) sterilizer, Eto sterilizers and Steris (par acidic) sterilizers. Ensures that all documentation is complete and accurate in the sterilization processes.
* Demonstrates a sound knowledge in the identification of instrumentation.
* Inspects all instrumentation for malfunction and removes from circulation, if applicable, and reports findings to the appropriate personnel.
* Arranges and verifies instrumentation according to the instrument tray count sheet and labels instrument trays if instrumentation is missing. Notifies appropriate personnel of missing instruments.
* Packages instrumentation and supplies according to departmental policies and procedures and establishes guidelines.

The Central Sterile Processing Technician 3 (U) is responsible for preparing supplies and equipment for use during patient procedures achieving competency in two areas of sterile processing. Receives, processes, stocks, and distributes supplies. * Cleans, wraps, sterilizes, stores, and distributes medical equipment, supplies and instruments used in patient care.
* Ensures adequate equipment and supplies are available to complete order requests.

* Operates and maintains documentation of various sterilizers and processing equipment.

**JOB SUMMARY**
The Delivery Technician is responsible for delivering durable medical equipment to Apria patients in the home.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Pulls, packs, delivers and picks up medications, supplies and basic equipment.
+ May instruct patients on basic use of respiratory therapy equipment, durable medical equipment, oxygen equipment, and other equipment/services approved by state licensure limitations.
+ Loads and unloads durable medical and infusion equipment onto delivery vehicle.
+ Responds to emergency delivery calls as needed during regular business hours and on an on-call basis.
+ Completes necessary paperwork including daily delivery logs, pick-up and delivery forms and vehicle maintenance logs. Distributes paperwork to appropriate personnel.
+ Maintains supply component of patient profiles.
+ Notify supervisor if any one of the following items is discovered in the patient's home:
a) Physical abuse of any family member
b) Home environment is unsafe for the care ordered, such as unsanitary conditions or insufficient food for children
c) Animals in the home that cause unsanitary conditions
+ May clean and assist with the repair of equipment.

Assists, when necessary, in the transfer of patient to recovery room bed. Assists in the total clean-up and readiness of the room for another procedure. Performs Unit specific duties.
