Refills trays as needed. Takes call to cover the needs of the Surgical Services Department. Calls sales representatives to get equipment and supplies for cases when needed. Communicates any instrument needs with unit leadership team members. Communicates any potential conflicts due to instrumentation with unit leadership team members. Assist other departments in sterilization practices and instructs them on best practices. Education and Formal Training: High School diploma or equivalent and CCS certification. Will have current CPR certification or obtain within 30 days of hire date. Work Experience: Previous CCS/OR experience desired. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Through knowledge of principles of asepsis. Also must have thorough knowledge of patient assessment techniques, treatment techniques, and the operation and maintenance of all unit-specific equipment.
