The MMC Assembler is responsible for maintaining the production of medical case cart products to meet customer requirements. What You'll do as a MMC Assembler Ability to assemble based on knowledge of the functions of major component parts and sub-assemblies within an assigned area. Use and understand torque wrenches and test equipment, and troubleshoot. Maintain published productivity standards on moderately challenging assemblies by utilizing a traveler, blueprint and standard work. Maintain high quality standards (meet the departments published quality rating). Maintain safe work areas and practice safe work habits. Apply 5S tools to include the T-card system. The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed Required: High School Diploma or GED. 1-2 years of warehousing/manufacturing environment or experience. Preferred: Prior AS400 experience preferred, Experience with hydraulics and electrical component assemblies preferred. Other: Computer Skills to include Microsoft Office, and Shop Floor Control. Knowledge, understanding and application of Lean Manufacturing tools, such as, 5S, Kanban Inventory. Ability to read blueprints, knowledge of schematics. Experience using torque wrenches and test equipment and related troubleshooting. Ability to make decisions and stay quality focused. Ability to understand and follow work instructions, both written and oral. Ability to adapt to conditions as dictated by business requirements. Proven teamwork experience. Ability to work overtime, if required. Knowledge, understanding and application of Lean Manufacturing tools, such as, 5S, Kanban Inventory.
