(There could be shorter or longer days - anything is possible) Home daily (Designed for you to be home every night and it is expected that you are home every night. As you know in trucking, sometimes events happen to prevent us from getting home. It is always advised to pack for the unexpected (i.e. Delays, weather, traffic) The norm is Mon. to Fri. (There is not usually weekend work but it s possible) This yard will already have loads there that were dropped off from Solvay drivers. You would leave with a load and typically go to Long Island, Yonkers, MT Carmel, Philadelphia area, maybe Lancaster PA. You should average 450 to 500 miles p/day. On the way back, pick up scraps, bring it to Pittston. Repeat the process. Occasionally they may run to Solvay. (It can happen expect it to happen rarely.) There could be occasions when you may end up doing loads for another terminal. It s possible but I believe that it would be few and far in-between.
