This position, under the direct supervision of the Grounds Manager, performs skilled grounds maintenance using a variety of power equipment. The Landscape Technician calibrates equipment, manicures, and weeds and trims various species of native plants. This position also manages tress and trims as required. The Landscape Technician maintains walks and drives as required. This position installs new landscape material as needed, as well as adjusts and replaces irrigation heads, maintains irrigation controls and low voltage light fixtures.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Employment duties will include, but not be limited to the following:
* Safely operate power mowers, tractors, light trucks, edgers, clippers, and other handheld power tools used in the grounds maintenance industry
* Inspect and maintain equipment and machines following a preventative maintenance program
* Lay sod; water grounds; rake; pick up paper and other debris from assigned areas; install landscaping and repair roads
* Assist in the set-up of various events held on the premises
* Assist in recommending, coordinating, and/or implementing as directed, short- and long-term plans and programs for an integrated landscape management
* Install new landscapes and materials as specified by Landscape Architect
* Maintain privacy and decorative fence; provide paint touch-up as needed to both fence and facilities
* Conduct periodic inspections of premises and grounds to assure appropriate measures are taken to prevent occurrence/reoccurrence of problems associated with an integrated pest management and landscape programs
* Support on-the-job training of newly hired staff members
* Maintain an effective working relationship, both inter- and intra-departmentally
* Respond to building and grounds complaints, remedy problems, and keep constituents informed in a timely manner

The RMRF will be expected to develop and expand new ideas and protocols in collaboration with corporate and physician/clinical partners, and will be responsible for study implementation, evaluation, and publishing of results. The RMRF will also provide technical skills training and scientific guidance to clinical investigators and assist with problem solving and data evaluations. Reporting to the Associate Dean for Research at the FSU College of Medicine and the Director of Research and Development at AREF, this critical role will lead grant proposal planning and writing, oversee day to day laboratory activities and ensure that all laboratory procedures are performed properly and in adherence to regulation. The RMRF may also facilitate procedures in the Surgical Skills Laboratory and assist with patient visits for clinical research studies as needed.
The Andrews RMC was designed to pioneer the translation of regenerative medicine treatments from early clinical and animal studies to evidence-based patient care. The RMC provides clinical space to offer current evidence-based and regulatory-compliant treatments and houses a tissue processing and storage facility to participate in developmental stem cell studies. The RMC includes a GMP compliant clean room (ISO 7), lab equipment to facilitate research (including a flow cytometer, hemocytometer, incubator, microscope, ELISA reader, and other equipment), and biologic product storage (including liquid nitrogen vapor phase storage, a -80 freezer, and two medical grade biologic refrigerators).

* Ph.D. in molecular biology or a related field
* Demonstrated experience leading research program development

Operate FSUPD communications center, providing radio communication support to sworn and non-sworn department employees. Perform duties associated with the Florida Crime Information Center/National Crime Information Center (FCIC/NCIC) teletype. Receive and evaluate calls from the public requesting police assistance, of both emergency and non-emergency natures. Oversees and may use computer-assisted dispatch system to update and monitor unit status, transmit requests for emergency services, and retrieve various data and records. Manages various criminal justice and public safety computer systems to check drivers' license records, vehicle registrations, stolen article files, warrants, criminal history, and missing persons listings. Monitor for activation of security or fire alarms on the alarm system. Obtain and/or verify other information required by field units using computer, two-way radio communications, and telephone. Contact other public safety agencies to obtain assistance (as needed). Prepare various departmental logs, reports, and forms.
Assess failure of computer and radio systems, take necessary action, and make appropriate notifications. Attend and/or conduct training classes as directed. Manage and prepare detailed records and reports in a timely manner. May provide testimony and/or appear in judicial proceedings (witness appearance rather than arresting officer, used to witness rights, original complaint, how received, etc.). Additional duties as required.

Anticipated Salary Range
The minimum starting salary for the position is $58,500. Anticipated starting salary will be offered commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Ozzie's Playful Computing Camp is a unique opportunity for educators to gain experience teaching an innovative coding curriculum in collaboration with a UNF Camp Counselor on-hand for additional support. Lead Teachers will work with a small cohort of elementary students (grades 1-2 or 3-5th) on Scratch Coding and related STEM learning experiences.
This curriculum is already prepared, age-appropriate and fun. Lead Teachers will be responsible for assisting with all transitions, morning set-up and afternoon clean up, organizing enrichment activities, mentoring your UNF Camp Counselor, leading all classroom instruction and lesson facilitation that explores topics in engineering/ design thinking, computer coding, robotics, and drones. And let's not forget- play!
Ozzie's Playful Computing Camp will run for 3 weeks in June, and includes paid training, orientation and classroom set up with your assigned UNF Camp Counselor for support.
Position starts May 4, 2025. Actual start date is dependent on candidate availability. (9:00-4:30pm): Paid mandatory training and orientation.
Compensation is $30.00 per hour.
Camp dates are:
Week 1: June 9-13 (9:00-3:00 pm)
Week 2: June 16-20 (9:00-3:00 pm)

Required:
