The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Stevens Institute of Technology is seeking a highly motivated and talented Post-Doctoral Scholar to join a cutting-edge project focused on developing a new class of thermal diodes. The research will investigate condensation and evaporation heat transport mechanisms through heterogeneous nanostructures under varying temperature gradients.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct advanced micro/nano-fabrication and fluid/thermal experiments at the micro/nanoscale.
Analyze experimental results and perform heat transfer modeling and analysis.
Prepare and publish high-quality research papers in peer-reviewed journals.
Develop and deliver presentations for conferences, seminars, and project updates.
Contribute to the preparation of research proposals and grant applications.
Mentor and supervise graduate and undergraduate researchers.
Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary research teams within and outside Stevens.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
Strong background in heat transfer, thermofluids, or nanoscale energy transport.
Hands-on experience with micro/nanofabrication techniques and thermal/fluidic experiments.
Demonstrated record of research publications in relevant areas.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and mentoring skills.

Compensation Range
In compliance with the New Jersey Wage Transparency Act, the annual base range for this position is $56,000-$60,000. This range represents the University's good faith estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Stevens Institute of Technology determines compensation based on factors including the position's scope and responsibilities, the candidate's experience, education, skills, internal equity, market data, and organizational considerations. The final salary will be set considering departmental budget, qualifications, and relevant credentials. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes additional forms of compensation, such as incentives, stipends, or other applicable pay components. Rutgers School of Health Professions (SHP) is seeking Temporary Research Assistants to work in the Department of Health Informatics.
The Temporary Research Assistants will contribute to technical development for mobile and web-based applications, including front-end and back-end support, user-centered app design, implementation of key app features, and integration of algorithms and machine learning or AI models. The role also involves applying principles from human-computer interaction and assisting with augmented reality features as needed for project activities.
In addition to technical responsibilities, the Temporary Research Assistants will support the faculty member's ongoing research studies through participant recruitment, screening, and enrollment in accordance with federal, state, and institutional guidelines. The position includes assisting with protocol development, record maintenance, statistical analysis, data coding, and preparation of presentations and manuscripts. The Temporary Research Assistant (Clinical Research) position spans both the basic science and clinical research components of the RITMS. On the clinical research side, the candidate will have the opportunity to observe and contribute to all aspects of the clinical research workflow, including supporting research participant visits for ongoing studies, assisting in the development of protocols for new studies, adapting sponsor-initiated protocols, and preparing submissions for Institutional Review Board review.
In this role, the Temporary Research Assistant (Clinical Research) basic research responsibilities will involve conducting experiments to assess cellular responses to glucocorticoids and cAMP-elevating agents in lung cells.
