Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise the scheduling and data management areas to ensure timely and accurate reporting
Coordinate the Office of the Registrar operational calendar
Serve as one of the leads to the Assistant Registrars and staff
Oversee daily activities of the Registrar's Office including staff development and training, monitoring progress of major projects to maintain/improve department performance
Work closely with The University Registrar to enhance efficiency by assessing and evaluating policies/procedures in alignment with the University's strategic plans
Establish, maintain and enhance relationships with school/department and other enrollment service representatives to facilitate collaboration
Liaison to academic officials concerning University policy/procedures and compliance using state, federal and best practice guidelines
Oversee and direct the implementation of policy, procedure and curriculum changes made by the Curriculum Committees including system updates
Serve as one of the key designees for student records configuration
Assist in resolving system and customer service issues pertaining to student records and registration
Assist with the documentation of records functions for students, faculty and staff
Administer Registrar activities related to Title IV

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree , Master's preferred
8-10 years' experience working in a Registrar's Office
Experience with a student information system
Previous supervisory experience
Prior experience with the implementation of ERP student information systems is a plus
Working knowledge of record retention policies; data privacy policies and procedures (FERPA); generally accepted AACRAO guidelines, federal, state and regulatory requirements; academic policies and procedure
Skills and Abilities
Strong computer software skills, including experience with a student information system; ability to work independently on multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy; ability to work as an effective member of a team; ability to manage, direct and supervise staff; strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, written and oral communication skills; extreme attention to detail.

Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Grants Administrator for the Public Health Research Institute at the New Jersey Medical School.
Under the direction of the Administrative Director, is responsible for the day-to-day operations of all projects, grants, contracts and other restricted accounts and related functions associated with research, sponsored programs, and restricted funds activities at Rutgers, New Jersey Medical School, Public Health Research Institute. Ensures that both pre and postaward activities comply with Federal and State University, and Sponsor requirements. Acting as a liaison with other University departments. Extensive experience with research and sponsored programs administration, ideally in an academic environment and program income revenue streams.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
* Provides guidance to faculty, administrators, and other staff on proposal development and grant applications for external support opportunities from Federal, State, Corporate and other funding agencies.
* Monitors/Reviews research proposals prior to submission to Federal, State, Corporate and other agencies to ensure compliance with University and agency policies and procedures.
* Analysis of fund balances to determine burn rate calculations for progress reporting, carry-over requests, projections, and close-outs of research/grant awards.
* Performs and assists with reconciling award activity of expenses to budget in order to avoid cost over-runs per Sponsor and University guidelines.
* Performs and assists with preparation and submission of Journal entries for all salary and non-salary expenses, all fringe corrections/accruals, and F&A distributions.
* Performs and assists with the preparation and review of financial reports or invoices in collaboration with the Grants and Contracts Department.

Duties include on-site anesthesia services to adult patients at University Hospital and the Stone Center, intraoperative teaching of residents, work collaboratively with the members of the surgical services both clinically and administratively.

Applicants should have earned a Ph.D. in theoretical physics and have research experience in the fields of quantum information theory, quantum optics, AMO physics, gravitational waves, and/or fundamental theory.
