Position Description: A Warehouse Receiver is responsible for the timely and accurate receipt of product and placement in specific areas of the warehouse. Received goods are unloaded and content is broken down and reviewed to ensure the correct items and quantities have been delivered based on the purchase order. *Danbury store (central warehousing) only: Receivers are responsible for fulfilling transfer orders for timely delivery to other food stores, ensuring items and quantities are accurate based on manifest. Your day-to-day: Review expected deliveries for the day on dock schedule Review invoice and purchase order before unloading truck to make sure they match. Unloaded/breakdown product from incoming deliveries, inspecting content to comply with COOL laws, ensure they are not damaged and verified accurate quantity based on purchase order Fill out purchase order and return to receiving office. We pride ourselves on being a long term, privately held company that takes care of its associates by recognizing each individual's potential and investing in their future success! 3rd Shift Distribution Associate Hourly pay rate: $23.00 Schedules needed: 7pm - 3:30am Sunday - Thursday or Tuesday- Saturday Expectations: * Unload case goods, bedding and/or upholstered furniture using a two wheel hand cart and second person assistance when needed. * Stage and load/unload products for shipping or storage in the warehouse * Palletize product and box product when necessary. * Operate mobile lift equipment to bin product, place incoming product into the warehouse racks. * Based on assigned load sheet, retrieve product from aisle racks after cleared by scanner, and load trailer. * Pick-up breakage, miscellaneous wood, plastic and maintain housekeeping standards. * Check for damaged product and do not load any damaged product for shipment to customer. * Interact and respond professionally to co-workers requests. * Meet established product rates and accuracy standards. * You must have excellent listening skills and the ability to work independently and with a team. * Perform additional functions that may be assigned at the discretion of management. Qualifications: * Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent. * Work well with others and function in a team environment. * Safely operate all required equipment. * Must be able to move extremities and the spine through a functional range of motion allowing safe maneuvering of product from floor to overhead while material handling.
